カテゴリ「国立科学博物館」の名称の変更

現在、国立科学博物館のカテゴリ名が「National Science Museum, Tokyo」となっています。

これはかつての英語名であり、2007年に「National Museum of Nature and Science」となりました[1][2]。

このことにより、カテゴリ名もロゴ通り「National Museum of Nature and Science」（あるいはお尻に「,Tokyo」を付けて「National Museum of Nature and Science,Tokyo」[3]）に変更したほうが良いのではないかと思いますが、どのようにしたらよいのかわかりません。

そこでご相談です。

  1. カテゴリ名の変更をするのが良いのか悪いのか。
  2. カテゴリ名を変更するならば「National Museum of Nature and Science」と「National Museum of Nature and Science,Tokyo」のどちらが良いのか。
  3. カテゴリ名を変更する場合、各ファイルやリンクの変更を簡単に行うにはどのようにしたら良いのか。

✓ Done Category:National Museum of Nature and Science への移動を完了し、Category:National Science Museum, Tokyo は {{Category redirect}} としておきました。
ご質問の件ですが、コモンズでのカテゴリ改名は、議論を経て改名したほうがいい場合は
{{Move|新しいカテゴリ名（の候補）|改名の理由|貼り付けた日付 (UTC)|そのカテゴリのノート以外で議論する場合は、その議論ページ（オプション）}}
を冒頭に貼り付けて、異議なき場合2週間後に移動、というのが丁寧にやる場合の正式な手続きになります。ですが改名の必要が万人に明らかで議論を要しないと思われる場合は、勝手にやってしまって差し支えないでしょう。改名後の元カテゴリの処理は、元の名前で検索してくる人がいそうな場合などは {{Category redirect|新しいカテゴリ名}} を貼り、明らかに間違った名前・スペル違い・大文字小文字違い・複数形忘れなどの場合は {{Bad name|新しいカテゴリ名}} で即時削除に出すことになります。
本件の場合、"National Museum of Nature and Science" だけで正式名称として成立しているとみられること、他国に同名または紛らわしい名前の施設が無いので曖昧さ回避的に ",_Tokyo" や "_(Japan)" を付ける必要が無さそうなことから、前者でよかったかと。新しいカテゴリ名の選定では、その分野における欧文表記法の慣例、コモンズにおけるカテゴリ名の慣例（代表的な例に Category:Shinto shrines のサブカテゴリ）、当事者による自称（これが一般に正式名称と捉えられる）のほか、enwp における記事名（en:National Museum Of Nature and Science）も参考になりますが、当事者による欧文表記に揺れがある場合とか、（特に日本の鉄道駅名や交通事業者名などで）enwp の記事名が明らかに間違っていたり独自研究的名称である場合も少なくないので、時々注意を要します。

皆様、はじめまして。私は吉田と申します。さて、本日こちらのサイトにFile:葛城岩橋図(『河内名所図会』).jpgという、著作権が100年以上も以前に確実に切れている画像をUPしました。そうしますと、1週間後に削除すると、予告が書かれましたので、その予告のリンク先へ確認に行きましたところ、英語の頁でして、どのようなことが書いてあるのかが、ほとんどわからないという有様でした。そこで、皆様にお願いがあります。「この画像を今後もこちらで保存し続けるにはどうすればよろしいのか」を日本語で教えてくださいませんでしょうか？何卒宜しくお願い申し上げます。--吉田宅浪 (talk) 10:40, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Stefan4さんがタグをつけてくださり、問題は解決したようですね。原因としては、著作権の状態を示すタグが貼られていなかったため、ボットが検知して自動で予告の書かれた警告テンプレートを貼っていった、という事のようです[1]。ちなみに個人設定のページで、使用言語の所を「日本語」にしておくと、ライセンスタグなどの色々な情報が日本語で読めるようになります。--Was a bee (talk) 17:08, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

"Tokyo prefecture" ?

【情報提供】2012年11月29日06:33(UTC)にCategory:Transport in TokyoがCategory:Transport in Tokyo prefectureへ傘下を含め移動されました。この移動について、Category_talkやCommons:Categories for discussion（以下CFD）で議論された形跡は見当たりません。

【以下私見】個人的には思うところがあります。

  1. これまではCategory:Buildings in Tokyoよりも下層（たとえばCategory:Hospitals in Tokyo prefecture‎やCategory:Churches in Tokyo prefecture‎など）に見られた程度だが、今回はもっと基本的なレベルの移動であり、今後Category:Tokyo以下の構造にも波及・影響しかねない。
  2. 47都道府県のひとつ、地方公共団体としての「東京都」は "Tokyo Metropolis" または "Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture" （*.metro.tokyo.jpでは前者が主流）、執行機関「東京都庁」は "Tokyo Metropolitan Government" と表記し、 "Tokyo Prefecture" は旧「東京府」を指す語ではないか。
  3. 一方で "Tokyo" や「東京」は、世界最大の都市（都市圏）を指す語としても広く一般的に使われている。

都道府県と都市の性格を併せ持つゆえ、明確にどうすべきという結論を今の私は持ち合わせていません。また類似の件である北海道（こちらは都道府県、島、地方を兼ねるため複雑化している）については、CFDでの議論が2011年6月から続いていて、同様に長引く可能性を予想すると議論の提起は躊躇してしまいます。ただ "Tokyo Prefecture" への違和感だけは拭いきれません。--J o (talk) 05:48, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

J o さんがご紹介くださった北海道に関する CFD の提案者です。北海道と同様、東京に関するカテゴリとそのサブカテゴリも「Tokyo」と「Tokyo prefecture」が混在している状況が気になってはいたのですが、北海道の CFD が未解決であるため、東京についても議論にかけることには及び腰になっていました。個人的には、J o さんに同じく「Tokyo prefecture」への違和感があることなどから、（どちらかに統一するならば）「Tokyo」に揃えたほうがよいと思いますが、北海道のほうの結論が出ていない現状では、どちらを採るにしてもコンセンサスを得るのは難しいという気がします。CFD の場でなくとも、どこかで話し合って何らかの方向性が決まればいいのですが……。Yasu (talk) 14:56, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Whymさんの問いかけにより穏便に対処がされたこと、まず安堵するとともに遅ればせながら感謝いたします。移動（と復帰）をされたForoaさんは経験豊かな管理者ですが、本件は他の階層構造を修復するなかで起きた不本意なミスだと表明されています。そのForoaさんも「日本は最も一貫性のある命名規則によってカテゴリ化されている国である」と述べておられますが、Yasuさんが提起された北海道の件、依然残る "Tokyo prefecture" など、課題は残されています。CFDに限らず、Commonsの議論は基本的に英語で行われ日本語話者が参加しにくいことも、議論停滞の一因だと思います。構わずCFDでも日本語で意見表明する、あるいは井戸端のような日本語コミュニティで方向性をまとめてCFDへ持ち込む、といったことが認められるならば状況は変わるかもしれませんが…。--J o (talk) 12:52, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

MiszaBot による井戸端の過去ログ化

User:MiszaBot は議論ページを自動的に過去ログ化するボットです。コモンズ、英語版ウィキペディアなどをはじめとしていくつもの言語版で運用されています。節ごとに、書きこまれた発言の署名についた日付を確認して、N日以上のあいだその節に書き込みがなければ、節を過去ログに移動する、というのが基本的な動作です（その他にもいくつか設定があります）。また、ある節の議論が終了したと判断した誰かが {{Section resolved}} というテンプレートをその節に書くと、N日を待たずに過去ログ化されます。MiszaBot はいまのところ日本語には対応していないのですが、この井戸端ページは署名に英語の日付が使われているため、問題なく動作すると思われます。私のトークページで試したかぎり、日本語を含む節も問題なく過去ログ化されました[2]。

この井戸端では、一定程度節が増えてきたら一括して過去ログ化するという運用がされてきました。しかし、このやり方には、つい忘れてしまって井戸端が長大化し井戸端の見通しが悪くなりがちだという問題、また、残したい節とそうでない節を仕分けるのが非常に面倒だという問題があります。停止・終了した議論が長期間残っていると、メンテナンスされていない印象を与え、利用を避ける人が増えることも懸念されます。

そこで、このページでも80日間新しい投稿のない節は自動的に過去ログ化し、それ以前であっても役目を終えたと思われる節には {{Section resolved}} をおいて過去ログ化していくことを提案します。80日というのは、それ以上間があいても新しいコメントがつくことがまずない、あるいはその時間経過により議論提起が現状に即しないものになってしまう、という個人的な印象からです。そういった場合は、時間を経てからも必要性があったときのみ、改めて提起しなおしたほうがよいのではと思います。80日という長さに強い根拠はありませんが、運用してみて適宜修正する（また、もし問題が起こればすぐに停止する）つもりで、とりあえず動かしてみてはどうかと思っています。いかがでしょうか。

画像の更新が上手く反映されない

すみません、File:Social-expenditure-in-percentage-of-gdp.PNGを更新したのですが、プレビュー（800×497ピクセル）と更新履歴サムネイルが上手く反映されません。引用先のja:福祉国家論でも反映されていません。高解像度での画像（970×603ピクセル）とその他の解像度（320×199ピクセル、640×398ピクセル）はちゃんと反映されています。これについて対処方法をご教示ください。よろしくお願いします。--たらふくぶー (talk) 13:52, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

昨年同じような目にあったことがあります（Hamanako-ohashi.jpg）。何らかのバグだと思いますが、原因は最後まで分かりませんでした。私の場合、どうにもならなかったので別名で目的のファイルをアップロードしてウィキペディアの記事では当面そちらを使用し、元のファイルは5ヶ月後に諦め半分で同じものを上書きアップしたところようやく正常になったので、再び使っています（別名の方は不要になったので削除済）。この場合もとりあえず別のファイル名でアップロードして、引用先のリンクも変更してしまうのが早道かと思います。こちらのファイルは当面放置で構わないでしょう。--トトト (talk) 10:53, 27 December 2012 (UTC)

Be a Wikimedia fundraising "User Experience" volunteer!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered last year on the Wikimedia fundraising 'User Experience' project. We have talked to many different people in different countries and their feedback has helped us immensely in restructuring our pages. If you haven't heard of it yet, the 'User Experience' project has the goal of understanding the donation experience in different countries (outside the USA) and enhancing the localization of our donation pages.

I am (still) searching for volunteers to spend some time on a Skype chat with me, reviewing their own country's donation pages. It will be done on a 'usability' format (I will ask you to read the text and go through the donation flow) and will be asking your feedback in the meanwhile.

The only pre-requisite is for the volunteer to actually live in the country and to have access to at least one donation method that we offer for that country (mainly credit/debit card, but also real time banking like IDEAL, E-wallets, etc...) so we can do a live test and see if the donation goes through. **All volunteers will be reimbursed of the donations that eventually succeed (and they will be very low amounts, like 1-2 dollars)**

アップロードページのライセンス一覧

  • 翻訳が古いまま(帰属→表示、同一条件承諾→継承)
  • 自由芸術ライセンスが無い（英語版にはある）
  • 出来ればすぐ分かる略称(CC:BY,CC:BY-SA,CC0)があった方がいい。
  • 複数ライセンスという書き方よりもデュアルライセンスの方がいい。

加藤さん単独の作品でないというお話ですので、権利関係を整理していただくしかないでしょう。先日の佐藤秀峰さんのブラックジャックによろしく二次利用自由化も、行政書士を雇って権利関係を整理したとお話しされていました。あと、ツイートを拝見した限り、どうもウィキメディア・コモンズの決まり、という認識を持たれているように思われます。著作権的にはあくまでも各ライセンスに従うものになりますので、ウィキメディア・コモンズにアップロードするという考え方ではなく、オープンコンテンツ界に作品を公開し、公開後はOC界でどんどん複製・拡散されていく、という認識を持ってもらったほうがいいと思います。OC界に作品を公開する醍醐味は、その拡散効果にこそあるのですから。--Akaniji (talk) 23:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Who knows? Both the URL to the blog and name of the uploader contain the Japanese word for "railway" (鉄道 / tetudou). On the other hand, it is a photo of a railway station, so it might be a coincidence. 軍人「張作霖」の画像「File:Zhang Zuolin2.jpg」ですが、thumbで表示した幅未指定（つまり220px）の場合のみ、別のセピア色の画像が表示されます。過去に削除された画像のキャッシュがこのサイズだけ残されているのが原因かもしれません。この現象はjawpおよびenwp上で確認しました。コモンズ側でなんらかの技術的対処が必要かもしれません。File talk:Zhang Zuolin2.jpgに表示サンプルを用意しましたのでご覧ください。--Triglav (talk) 09:00, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

Convert complex templates to Lua to make them faster and more powerful

File Upload Botについて

File Upload Botによって、バンバンと上位のカテゴリに画像が放り込まれています。 例えば、File:Monkey7 (3362130613).jpgのカテゴリが「Day」と「Japan」だったり、File:Puppy and kitten shop (6969733332).jpgのカテゴリが「Japan」だったり。 こんな上位カテゴリに置かれるのは困ります。そのうち収拾がつかなくなります。 なんとかならないものですか？--Can Do Can Go (talk) 04:10, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

ベクターグラフィクス内の日本語フォント

具体的にはFile:Dengue fever symptoms with Japanese labels.svgのことなのですが、画像をアップロードするとテキストの表示がおかしくなってしまいます。サーバが勝手に中国語のフォントに置き換えてしまっているようです。COM:GVPで教えてもらったmeta:SVG fontsにリストされていたVL PGothicを自分のPCにダウンロードしてInkscapeで設定してみましたが、やっぱりだめでした。いちおう、Inkscapeでテキストをパスに変換すればよいのですが、理想的な解決法ではないので、どの日本語フォントを設定すれば、Commonsでもそのまま表示されるのか教えてください。--Bugandhoney (talk) 20:28, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

解決しているようですが、
  1. 文字のレイヤーをコピーして別のレイヤーに
  2. コピーしたレイヤーの文字はパスのアウトラインを取り
  3. そして元のテキストレイヤーの描画をしないようにすれば
テキスト情報は残りつつ表示はアウトラインのものが採用されますよ。僕も随分悩みました。

労働法内で、「解雇」の部分についてです。

「予告手当てとして30日分以上の平均賃金」と労働契約法　第16条で決められていますが、

Wikiの文章上では、

すべて「30日分の平均賃金を払えば、…」と

なっていますがなぜでしょうか？


法律上、「30日以上」となっているので、

「30日分」では、労働契約法違反ですが、

どういうことでしょうか。

There is a new request for comment on Meta-Wiki concerning the removal of administrative rights from long-term inactive Wikimedians. Generally, this proposal from stewards would apply to wikis without an administrators' review process.

We are also compiling a list of projects with procedures for removing inactive administrators on the talk page of the request for comment. Feel free to add your project(s) to the list if you have a policy on administrator inactivity.

All input is appreciated. The discussion may close as soon as 21 May 2013 (2013-05-21), but this will be extended if needed.

[en] Change to section edit links

The default position of the "edit" link in page section headers is going to change soon. The "edit" link will be positioned adjacent to the page header text rather than floating opposite it.

Section edit links will be to the immediate right of section titles, instead of on the far right. If you're an editor of one of the wikis which already implemented this change, nothing will substantially change for you; however, scripts and gadgets depending on the previous implementation of section edit links will have to be adjusted to continue working; however, nothing else should break even if they are not updated in time.

Ideas to do this all the way to 2009 at least. It is often difficult to track which of several potential section edit links on the far right is associated with the correct section, and many readers and anonymous or new editors may even be failing to notice section edit links at all, since they read section titles, which are far away from the links.

建築の著作物のfreedom of panoramaについて（屋外展示目的の複製）

こんにちは。akanijiと申します。いまWiki Loves Monuments 2013の日本地区大会開催に向けて、建築の著作物のfreedom of panoramaについて調べています。日本国著作権法第46条の例外に

  • 販売目的の複製（4号）
  • 屋外展示目的の複製（3号）

が挙げられています。4号については、昭和43年の第5次著作権及び隣接権に関する法律草案草稿において、建築の著作物を美術の著作物から分離独立させるための条文整理がなされたことから（作花 2010:387）、建築の著作物には4号は適用されないと思います。しかし、3号については、例えば東京タワーの写真を撮ってコモンズにアップロードした場合、それをポスター印刷して家の前に大きな看板で展示するような利用も許諾されることになるのではないでしょうか。この例は3号に抵触するのではないか、と危惧しています。3号の解釈につきまして、ご教示いただけないでしょうか。よろしくお願い致します。--Akaniji (talk) 06:36, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Feedback wanted on Commons brochure draft

I've been working on a "Welcome to Commons" brochure, and community feedback was extremely helpful. We now have a draft of the designed version, so please share any thoughts you have on how to make it better. The main target audience is newcomers who are learning about Commons for the first time.

  • Many minor design and text changes will happen in the next revision, but if you notice anything that needs to be adjusted, please comment.
  • There is simply placeholder content for the section on adding images using the Visual Editor; once screenshots of the interface are stable, that content will be added in.

改名後のリダイレクト

過去ログ８で他のユーザーの方がだいたい同じような内容の投稿をされていたようですが、そちらでは特に回答が付されていなかったので同じ見出しで質問させてください。 明らかな誤字のあったファイル名を依頼によって改名（移動）していただいた後に残骸として残ったリダイレクトについては、削除依頼などにかけるべきでしょうか。 「ファイルの使用状況」「グローバルなファイルの使用状況」ともにゼロであり、Googleなどで調べてみた限りでは外部サイトから参照されている可能性も低そうですが、素人考えでしょうか。 また、いざ削除依頼にかける場合はアップロード・エラーの延長と見て、{{Speedydelete}}で構わないのでしょうか。 ちなみにFile:Hasegawa_Ryoshin.png.jpgです。よろしくお願いします。--雲山青二 (talk) 07:27, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Pywikipedia is migrating to git

Hello, Sorry for English but It's very important for bot operators so I hope someone translates this. Pywikipedia is migrating to Git so after July 26, SVN checkouts won't be updated If you're using Pywikipedia you have to switch to git, otherwise you will use out-dated framework and your bot might not work properly. Notifications inform you of new activity that affects you -- and let you take quick action.

Greetings!

Notifications will inform users about new activity that affects them on this wiki in a unified way: for example, this new tool will let you know when you have new talk page messages, edit reverts, mentions or links -- and is designed to augment (rather than replace) the watchlist. The Wikimedia Foundation's editor engagement team developed this tool (code-named 'Echo') earlier this year, to help users contribute more productively to MediaWiki projects.

We're now getting ready to bring Notifications to almost all other Wikimedia sites, and are aiming for a 22 October deployment, as outlined in this release plan. It is important that notifications is translated for all of the languages we serve.

There are three major points of translation needed to be either done or checked:

Speak up about the trademark registration of the Community logo.

Hi all,

Please join the consultation about the Community logo that represents Meta-Wiki: m:Community Logo/Request for consultation.

This community consultation was commenced on September 24. The following day, two individuals filed a legal opposition against the registration of the Community logo.

The question is whether the Wikimedia Foundation should seek a collective membership mark with respect to this logo or abandon its registration and protection of the trademark.

We want to make sure that everyone get a chance to speak up so that we can get clear direction from the community. We would therefore really appreciate the community's help in translating this announcement from English so that everyone is able to understand it.

著作権侵害の懸念が高い画像

著作権侵害の懸念が非常に高い・・・というか「以前、関連するウェブサイトで見た覚えがある」画像がコモンズに上がっているのですが、どう対処すべきでしょう？

w:ja:権藤貴志で使用されているコモンズ画像ですが、File:権藤貴志 イメージ.JPGについては元画像の掲載場所を見つけたので即時削除の対処を取ったものの、残り2つ（File:権藤貴志 画像.JPG・File:権藤貴志.JPG）については（見覚えはあるものの）転載元を確認できていません。なお、File:権藤貴志.JPGについては上記のウェブサイトやサカエ経済新聞の記事にある画像と服装が同じですので、これらの画像はいわゆる「宣材」としてウェブ上に掲載されたものが元になっていると思われます。そもそも、この3つの画像を掲載した利用者はいずれも「投稿者自身による作品」としてアップロードしていますが、これが違っているのは前述の通りです。--KAMUI (talk) 10:48, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

実際に投稿者自身による作品（自著作物の持ち込み）である可能性も考えられますので、まずはアップロードされた方に確認してみるべきではないでしょうか。しばらく経っても返答がない場合や、あってもその内容が疑わしいとなれば削除依頼を出すことも一つの方法ですが、いずれにしてもまずはご本人の説明を待ってからでも遅くないと思います。Yasu (talk) 15:02, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
