About this category and its subcategories
[edit]More than 400,000 photos from RCE (Cultural Heritage Agency) have been included in Commons. This happened with mass actions, without correct Commons categories being added to the photos at first. Instead, a kind of shadow category system has been set up, with the keywords from the RCE database, being the subcategories of this category. This was intended as a temporary system. Those shadow categories should be converted to regular Commons categories. After the files in a subcategory have been moved to correct categories, the subcategory can be deleted by a Speedy delete, with a link to this page (so the administrator knows the subcategory should indeed be deleted and not be redirected).
