What's the use of this category?[edit]

Does this category have any use at all? These are national copyright laws that have nothing to do with the EU, but the grouping and the use of the word "EUGov" gives the impression that this is the work of Brussels. The contrary is the case here, these are works of the governments of a number of countries, that happen to be members of the EU as well. The Ex-USSR category has some amount of meaning given that these laws are related due to the previous USSR copyright law, but the same cannot be said for this category. i d say its in the making.... check this one: en:Category:Intellectual property laws of the European Union Foundert 21:37, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the category exists as well, but at the moment, the EU doesn't have anything close to a unified copyright law, and we have no idea about how the situation will be 5 or 10 years from now. My main impression remains that both are products of wishful thinking. Valentinian T / C 12:59, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
