Members of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences → Members of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences (Per nl:Categorie:Lid van de Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen. English wikipedia added "Art" in the title while this doesn't exists in the Dutch name. Besides that a new members list is especially dedicated to Art, that category has just been added.)

@Rembert Andy: The rationale is a bit faulty. The English word "science" has narrower meaning than the Dutch word "Wetenschappen", German word "Wissenschaften" or Czech word "věda". That why one word in these languages is usually translated by two words in English. "Arts" ("liberal arts") is an established English term for "humanities" which fall under the mentioned Dutch, German or Czech word, but not under the English term "science". The translation cannot be literal, word for word. We need to look what is the most established English version of the name of the academy. If none, we should the original non-translated proper name. The current translation seems to be established at en:wiki. Website of the academy doesn't use English version of the name, but it uses a collocation "voice of the arts and sciences in the Netherlands" in this sense. --ŠJů (talk) 00:17, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rembert Andy and ŠJů: this question should be first solved in enwiki (there is en:Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences). In general, Commons implements enwiki decisions--Estopedist1 (talk) 07:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Estopedist1: There is nothing to be solved or changed. The translation is standard, correct and established. --ŠJů (talk) 12:33, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
