Oppose A commons category name must state what it is. Trains station is preferred outside UK. --Foroa (talk) 15:37, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The full official station name in the official form should be preferred. The official form of the station name is internationally comprehensible more than some modifications or translations - such proper names shouldn't be translated generally, the category name should be an identifier, not an etymologic explanation. An English disambiguation should be used only if the station name is identical with the local name and has to be distinguished. --ŠJů (talk) 23:10, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support The category should wear the official name of the object, like Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Gare du Nord (Paris), Estación de Chamartín.

Oppose Just as Category:train stations in the Czech Republic, Category:Train stations in Central Bohemian Region Category:train stations in Poland, Category:train stations in Warsaw, ... it must be clear from the title that it is a train station. While I have my doubts on Bahnhof and Gare, which are worldwide known names, the Category:Estación de Chamartín in Category:Train stations in Madrid will be renamed eventually. --Foroa (talk) 23:12, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion about Czech train stations clearly concluded that the full and official station name should constitute the base of a category name and that the English disambiguation "train station" should be used only in cases that the station name is identical with the settlement name. If the official station name contains such specification in itself (of course in the local language), it is undesired to add some English translation. The category name should be an identifier, not an etymologic explanation. --ŠJů (talk) 22:32, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support This is the official name of the station. The english wikipedia use the Hungarian name of the object too. see: en:Budapest Keleti pályaudvar --Beroesz (talk) 19:12, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question Does contain the official name a hyphen or doesn't? --ŠJů (talk) 08:16, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I remove my opposition for train stations that are known under their "official" name on several wikipedia's. --Foroa (talk) 15:50, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
