English: The Wandsbek was a German four-masted steel barque, built as the Ancyra in 1892 by Russell & Co., Greenock (yard no 303 ) for G.T Soley & Co., Liverpool. 1900 she was sold to Knöhr & Burchard, Hamburg and was renamed Wandsbek. 1914 she was interned at Santa Rosalia, Mexico and wrecked during a severe storm while anchored at Santa Rosalia in 15 October 1923.
Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth = 279.1 × 41.8 × 24.2 ft (85 × 12.7 × 7.3 m) and she had a tonage of 2333 GRT and 2198 NRT.[1]
The ship should not be confused with the same owners three-masted ship Wandsbek ex Ardencaple, built 1885.
