Electric locomotives with a (1′B)+(B1′) wheel arrangement, according to the UIC system. This comprises two frames, each with a fixed 1′B arrangment of two driven axles and a leading carrying axle, able to move sideways. The driven axles in each frame are coupled by either coupling rods or gearing. These two frames are then articulated. They are classed as articulated, rather than a (1′B)(B1′) bogie arrangement.
