Apology
[edit]Hey Sviraman,
I'm sorry about originally putting your files up for deletion. It was a mistake on my part. Thanks again for your contributions. TJH2018talk 22:42, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

1. FC Schweinfurt 05
[edit]Hi Sviraman,
thanks for providing the league performance chart for 1. FC Schweinfurt 05! I would like to motivate one change: Oberliga Süd (1945-63) was tier one, thus at equal level as later Bundesliga. --Sekundogenitur (talk) 19:24, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Sekundogenitur: Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I won't be able to change that. I have already given a great deal of thought to the question of how better to represent the league structure in the charts. I am aware that the Oberligas were in fact the top tier of German football. However, the Bundesliga, being a national league, while the Oberligas were only regional, was/is inherently a higher-status competition. Besides, the Oberligas were basically continued as the Regionalligas, so there's also continuity to consider. Had the Oberligas been simply dissolved, I would've gladly put them up there in front of the BL. But in this particular case it seemed more important to preserve the continuity and the regional/national status than the actual tiers. Hope you understand. Sorry. Sviraman (talk) 21:02, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Sviraman: Thank you for clarification!--Sekundogenitur (talk) 05:53, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- I just came accross your great work on the chart and would like to suggest a possible solution to the dilemma: The Oberligas were the top tier until 1963 but if you prefer to not rate them equal to the Bundesliga the German championship definetly was. You could list that in the vacant space. Schweinfurt did not take part in the completion post-war, never finishing quite high enough in the Oberliga, but had done so in 1939 and 1942. Calistemon (talk) 07:56, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Calistemon: This seems like a good idea, but I'm not sure if it can be depicted well graphically, and adding text which would probably clutter an already rather cluttered chart even more. I'll give it some more thought when updating the stuff at the end of the season. Thanks. --Sviraman (talk)
- Hi, are you able to regularly update the chart? Thanks in advance! --Sekundogenitur (talk) 11:59, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Sekundogenitur: Not at the moment, no, sorry. The charts are at a bit of a standstill currently, because I wanted to convert them to a more convenient format before updating, but that turned out to be rather time-consuming, and I have been a bit swamped with other work and life stuff, so they stay outdated until I am able to carve out some time to deal with them properly. It is at the top of my to-do list, first priority. Sviraman (talk) 10:43, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Request
[edit]Hello Sviraman,
I would like to request a performance graphic for the club I support, FC Porto but only if you accept this solicitation and have the time to dispense, of course. I would make it myself but I don't have the knowledge to create these png files. Blahhh23 (talk) 19:00, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Blahhh23: Hi. Your request is quite timely as I'm in dire need of new ways to procrastinate writing my master's. Here ya go. I'll probably get to the rest of Portugal someday, but not very soon. (If you ever decide to try your hand at making these yourself, learn to code them in SVG, it's a much better format) --Sviraman (talk) 20:31, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- Dude thank you so very much, you were fast !! I'll try out your advice of coding them in SVG (something new to learn) and best of luck with your master's. Procrastinating is also a tool to the further development of the mind, cheers !! Blahhh23 (talk) 22:21, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
performence of FC Baden
[edit]Hello
from where are you the statistic of fc baden? do you have the whole table? thx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Unot54 (talk • contribs) 13:52, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Unot54: Hey. I got most of my data from RSSSF archive. The Swiss league tables for each season are listed here: http://www.rsssf.com/tablesz/zwitchamp.html. I don't have any sort of a single Baden-centric table, sorry.
Could you share your process for making those league performance diagrams?
[edit]I'd like to do something similar and I'm curios how you collect the data and how you design the diagram.
You mentioned SVG coding before but I'd like to know more :D --Razman1921 (talk) 07:45, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Razman1921
- @Razman1921: Not sure if I want to disclose all my trade secrets, but let me just say this: it involves using Excel as a graphical editor and a spreadsheet so huge it occasionally crashes my system. Data sources are mostly RSSSF, various wikis and local football federations' archives, they are named in the info for each chart. Sviraman (talk) 17:11, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Request for Leicester City graph
[edit]Hi!
I love your work, I wondered if you'd be able to done one for my team, Leicester City, please?
I've had a stab myself, and I can't figure out how you do it!
Many thanks El Lloydie — Preceding unsigned comment added by El lloydie (talk • contribs) 15:09, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
- @El lloydie: There is one already created by the performance chart guru EclecticArkie, and it is miles better than my stuff: Sviraman (talk) 18:52, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
BFC Dynamo performance chat
[edit]Hello
I would like to suggest two updates to the BFC Dynamo performance chart:
- The team was known as SC Dynamo Berlin from 1954-1966, not SG. It was a sports club (SC)
- The team became BFC Dynamo in 1966, not 1967.
You are doing a great work!
Kindest regards. /EriFr (talk) 00:21, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for the tip. I will fix it when updating the German charts (which I am currently in the process of). Sviraman (talk) 07:54, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Your work's amazing, could I ask a request?
[edit]Hi Sviraman, your work on European clubs is amazing. I just wanted to ask, how you make the graphs? I really want to do one for my own English non league club. Of course I'd credit you for inspiration. It would be great if you could reply. Thanks so much and keep your amazing work! Joseph1891 (talk) 10:42, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
