In reply to the Map Question
[edit]Hello ShinJunBak!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Unfortunately, those maps already exist, created by another user. They are slightly different in design, but they are mostly the same in terms of layout (aside from the 2004 map).
Canadian federal election, 2004
Canadian federal election, 2006
Canadian federal election, 2008
Canadian federal election, 2011
Map Request Granted
[edit]Hello ShinJunBak, a while back you asked if I could make some earlier Canadian election maps in the style of my 2015 map. Well, I made them! Or started anyways.
Here is the 2011 map https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Canada_federal_election_2011_-_Results_By_Riding.svg
I will try to upload the 2008 map within a few days. My buddy and Wikimedia user MrElection is working on the 2004 and 2006 maps (I have no idea when they will be posted)
Thank You
[edit]Thank you so much for your kind words on my maps! I also just finished the 2008 election map - had some free time on my hands

Which maps have you made? I would love to see some of them.
You can send them to me at riley.richard1095@gmail.com
Good eye!
[edit]Hey good eye catching that error I made on the Ireland constituencies map! Totally slipped and didn't even notice it. That was quick to, I uploaded that like an hour ago as Im writing this. Random Question - are you notified of changes made to map files?
Thats actually pretty cool! The timing was pretty close so I was wondering what was up :P I know MrElection (we work together on a ton of maps and are basically partners) but who are some other map makers on here you mentioned? Id love to be able to reach out to them. Also, I was scanning your Wikimedia page. Since you make maps, have you thought about building a home page like what me and Mr Election have done to show off the maps we made? It would look really cool.
Some other map makers I follow are Avopeas (who does a lot of polling charts and nordic elections) and Szqecs ( who makes lots of Taiwanese maps). I was wanting to make my user page have a little more detail, but I don't know how to use wikipedia's writing code very well and I also don't have consistent map "style" yet. Once I get more maps made and a consistent style of maps then I'll make one up probably.
