Image Tagging Image:De-September.ogg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:De-September.ogg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Siebrand 11:21, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- The author and a description appear to be missing in more of your uploads. Please check them all to not be surprised by more deletion nominations. Cheers! Siebrand 11:23, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, there's none. I was checking that the script to nominate for deletion worked after modifying it (i reached to that image by random). I inmediatly reverted on the image. I missed the notification on your talk page. My apologies. Platonides 15:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
low quality images
[edit]Hi. I notice you have tagged quite a few images lately as "low quality". Many have not been given a specific complaint. In particular, what do you see as the particular problem with Image:Mount Bischoff mine.jpg? This photo is much as I saw the mine site. Telling a contributor that their photo is "low quality" without suggesting what is specifically wrong with it or how it should be corrected is just rude. Thankyou. --Scott 08:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[copied from my talk page]
- Hi there,
- I think the problem about this picture is the blur all over the the image. I thought this is obviously. Sorry for this.
- Hi. I didn't find it obvious. I also don't have an alternative image - that's the only one I took of the mine. The foreground is out of focus as it was a dull day - would the image improve simply by cropping out the bottom 20%? Much of the face of the mine is covered by grass and small trees, giving the soft appearance. The bare earth near the centre of the image appears to be in focus as far as I can tell (I'm examining the full-size image to say this). If you have a better photo, you're welcome to replace it in the article, and we can remove this one. I know it's not an excellent example of photography - it was a holiday snap that illustrates an article that otherwise had no picture. --Scott 09:52, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Files you uploaded may be deleted
[edit]The files listed below, which you uploaded, have been tagged {{OTRS pending}} for more than 30 days. This tag indicates that an email setting out permission to use the file was sent to the OTRS team. Unfortunately, we cannot find any record that such an email has been received, and accordingly the file remains without permission. Unless the OTRS team receives evidence that permission has been granted within 15 days of today's date, the file will be deleted. If you have already sent the permission, please re-send it to "permissions-commonswikimedia.org" now. Please quote the file name in your email. At the same time, please leave a message at the OTRS noticeboard so that a volunteer can follow this up. Alternatively, you can contact an OTRS volunteer directly. Please note that this message is being left by an automated bot, whose operator is not an OTRS volunteer, therefore please do not send this information to me, as it will not save your images from deletion. Thanks for your time! Please help translate this message! HersfoldOTRSBot(talk/opt out) 21:50, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Oury Jalloh Aktion 2017 04.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Oury Jalloh Aktion 2017 04.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

[edit]I am not familiar with your issue but I was also not very satisfied with their tags. In fact all the files tagged by Xunks were able to be saved or already had a license (but other similar ones not, and still do not have) and I question a bit that some files get tagged but others with the same or similar copyright issue not. Could you elaborate on the issue a bit so I can follow since your file was deleted? Courtesy ping for Xunks Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:06, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Paradise Chronicle I can't state anything with 100% certainty anymore here. The other file I've provided was sourced from the same source as the other file mentioned. The political situation worsened between "the west" and Russia in the meantime and at the time there was a complaint, that the PD license isn't valid I could no longer access the source pages from Germany. While my file was removed with DR the other file, clearly part of the same collection, wasn't.
- Xunks continued with calling my frustrated comment about that the evidence just cannot be provided as its no longer accessible due political reasons, arrogant - which is clearly a personal attack.
- My response was just reverted by the admin User:Yann on the DR (and on Xunks talk page), where I insisted that he reverts his comment on my talk page and alters his comment on the DR page to remove the personal attacks.
- I don't feel comfortable to stay here any longer, as admins seems to support such behavior. RubenKelevra (talk) 21:32, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
