Heisann. Jeg ser at du har lastet opp noen bilder av Voll. Jeg legger merke til at han har store mengder utrolig gode bilder på Flickr, der veldig mange vil være av meget stor interesse for WP. Kjenner du fyren personlig, slik at du kan overtale ham til å gå over til CC-BY-SA på enkelte bilder?

Jeg ser forresten at Voll-bildene du har lastet opp allerede står som © all rights reserved på Flickr. Nå tar jo selvsagt jeg for gitt du har lastet opp hit etter avtale med Voll, men andre brukere kan finne på å reagere på dette, og i verste fall begynne å hurtigslette (noe som ikke vil være helt urimelig i en slik situasjon). Kan du få han til å gå over til CC-BY-SA på bildesiden på Flickr for de bildene du har lastet opp til Commons, eventuelt få han til å sende en bekreftelse til OTRS? Jeg tenkte spesielt på Solskjær (dvs croppe ut Solskjær og Sonja Solbakken og bruke dem i hver sin artikkel), da Solskjær har artikkel på mange språk og intet bilde. Kan ikke du prøve å overtale ham pr. msn til å gå med på cc-by-sa?

Shalom. Det var et par ting jeg stusset på:

Image:Erna.JPG sier "Source: Høyre/Carl Fredrik Tjeransen", samtidig som det sier "Author: User:Caffe". Er det slik at Caffe er Carl Fredrik Tjeransen? Da bør i såfall beskrivelsen endres til noe slik som "Source: Own work" og "Author: Carl Fredrik Tjeransen (User:Caffe)".
Image:Jan Tore Sanner.jpg sier "Source: Høyre/Carl Fredrik Tjeransen" og "Author: Røed 13:50, 5 May 2007 (UTC)". Her gjelder noe av det samme: Om Tjeransen er fotograf bør vel han stå i author-feltet?

Hi, I'm not actually an expert on gulls, but I have compared your great picture with the others in the same category and read the species description on wikipedia and think you are quite right - the greenish yellow of the beak and legs seems to be a distinguishing feature. From the file name I gather it was taken in Norway (you should add this to the description section - in general the time of year and location can help others confirm the identification), so it is probably sub-species Larus canus canus. :-) --Tony Wills 23:25, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. I notice that you have uploaded Image:Blacksburg-downtown-mainst.jpg and at the same time replaced an older one. I think you should know that this is only allowed when the two images are almost exactly alike. Here in Commons we would like to host as many different, useful versions as possible for Wikimedia projects to choose from. Well, if the picture had been somewhat good I wouldn't have done it, but as it was a horrible picture I didn't see the point of keeping it (and that goes for poor pictures by me as well), and I don't bother to replace it all the places either because it's used so many places. Hello, Røed!

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

I have no idea if this is the right place to put this, but since I just created my account, I hope you can forgive me if it isn't. I have a question about the map you created in 2020 of the municipalities of norway. Do you remember which projection you used? Or did you just leave it as is? And would you happen to know anything about the scale? Thank you very much in advance for any help.
