Thanks for uploading File:Purple Line (Maryland) Alignment Map.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Hi OrdinaryScarlett, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

  • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
  • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
  • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

Autopatrol given

[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. GPSLeo (talk) 11:39, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

BSicons

[edit]

Just an FYI, but the standard license for icons is {{PD-shape}}. Useddenim (talk) 14:40, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When you create new icons, please put them into the correct categories. I've noticed that many of your new color variants are ending up in the "regular" color (#BE2D2C ) category instead of the proper ones. Useddenim (talk) 15:26, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the late response. I don't really check my Commons talk page. Thanks for letting me know; I've already taken note of these two issues. My apologies, I promise to follow these guidelines in the future. OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 00:58, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update request

[edit]

Hello.

Can you update File:Link light rail geographic map.svg by coloring the dashed section of the Blue Line between the South Bellevue station and the Redmond Technology station, which opened to service on 27 April 2024, as well as change the year to 2024 in the top of that map?

Yours sincerely, Noroii (talk) 22:36, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the year, but other than and updating the names of the stations from their provisional names, I don’t have the expertise to change the dashed line to reflect the opening of the 2 Line, sorry. You could maybe primarily ask SounderBruce about this issue, though I believe he may be aware of the issue; still might be worth asking about it with him. If nothing else, perhaps you could also ask the map’s creator Twotwofortysix? But if that also doesn’t work, you could file a request for it at Commons:Graphic Lab/Map Workshop. Hope this helps. OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 15:57, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Naming mixed f/g/u icons

[edit]

Hi, please see this section of the BSicon guide for the naming of mixed icons. When using sets f, g, and u together, the "m" is omitted. For example,   (fmABZg+r +u) could be renamed   (fuABZg+r). Thanks. Hotdog with ketchup (talk) 12:56, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 1  -  2

  1. green for line 1 - as shown in the icon
  2. green for line 1 - as specified hex-code

what do you think? Mrmw (talk) 16:14, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Mrmw:
You got the wrong green: you used right hand side "other agency microsites" to get "LINE GREEN" as #28813F. You should have used the bottom group "Service Lines": "LINK 1 LINE" is #3DAE2B.
  •  1  using #3DAE2B from the PDF
There was an SVG color mismatch discussion some time ago. At that time, I notice that SVG wants sRGB color values, but librsvg output PNG files without specifying the sRGB colorspace. I do not know if that has changed. Logically, the PNGs would be using the user's device colorspace rather than a standard. Sadly, color matching is not well handled.
Although the Sound Transit PDF lists RGB values, it does not specify the colorspace. Maybe they may be RGB values, but they may be some other colorspace.
