Hi. I removed the categories from the latin pronunciation files because they are also listed in Latin pronunciation, so they would not be listed twice. This is similiar to the use of images here on the commons (at least that is what the discussion is leaning to, and similiar to other sound files). But if you prefer categories, then I can live with that, too. However, there is another point: You added the colon again to [[:Image:la-cls-acervus.ogg|la-cls-acervus.ogg]] on Latin pronunciation: Special:Unusedimages is used to find images that are not yet listed on image pages, and your use of colons lists the .ogg files as unused. While now there is a limited number of sound files, the list of unused images will probably become very cluttered in the future with more files. Since removing the colons did not change the layout of Latin pronunciation on my browser I removed the colons so the sound files are listed as used. Is there any strong reason for you to use the colons? If not, could you please remove the colons again from Latin pronunciation? This would make finding unused images easier. Thanks -- Chris 73 22:57, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I did not invent the category convention, I am only following it, as the files in Category:Dutch pronunciation also appear on Dutch. To change it would require conference with the wiktionary users such as User:GerardM.
As for the colon: Without the colon, browsers are instructed to display it as an image. Your browser may fail silently, but on mine without the colon appears in a "broken image" box.
I'm not sure what the best way to fix the unusedimages problem is. A decoloned mirror of the chart could be made in the talk page or somewhat, or Media: links could be used instead of Image:—though this has the drawback of linking to the sound file directly, not to the description page. —Muke Tever 23:17, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
About putting the files in categories: I can live with that. The linking of the files, however, is a problem. I will add a note to the village pump, maybe somebody else knows. Thanks for your understanding -- Chris 73 02:33, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hi Muke!

I wrote the Latin texts for templates in the Spanish Wiki:

Iste usor in elementaria libella linguae Latinae conferre potest.

Iste usor in media libella linguae Latinae conferre potest.

Iste usor in superiore libella linguae Latinae conferre potest.

Are all of them more adequate than the present ones?

Best regards. Bafomet.

Muke, you wrote: "'iste' means 'that' in Latin, not 'this'. (hic = este; iste = ese; ille = aquel".
Strictly speaking, 'iste', 'ista', 'istud' (from 'is' + 'te') mean 'ése', 'ésa', 'eso' as well as 'éste', 'ésta', 'esto'. I assume that the problem comes from the very few demonstrative pronouns of the English language, id est, 'this' and 'that' only. Of course, 'hic', 'haec', 'hoc' mean 'éste', 'ésta', 'esto' too. Vale! Bafomet

San gungusue medium

[edit]

Hello, good to see than you want help us. You didn't find information about San gungusue medium because this font seem to be copyrighted. I did and share the somes Black-to-Red picture before to look on this unclear problem. You still can use other free fonts, which you can find in Chinese stroke order:Protocoles a link to the place where we download them. You can also follow one of the 3 protocoles to product some pics, even just one is welcome :]

The serie -bw.png (more than 800 pics), made by M4RC0 can help you to know the true stroke order, we still find some error, but we work on to correct the most ^0^y

Hi, I'm happy to see your work, I notice you about the line of separation enter 2 colors :

This seem too "fast" (black/red separated by a line) This one seem more cute I think this is the beautifullest way, with a curve like using brush

(text are hide)

One more point : we show what is add, in exemple : in 2de cross of 上 the | have to be stronger than the __ (respectively : the 1st stroke, and t) .

see you ;] Yug talk 19:34, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeap, the new 上 is better ^0^ ~~

This pic have 16 Colors between Black and red !!

Hello Muke,
First I have a question for you : how do you choice colors for your pic ? I have many difficuties with this point. For me : Black is #000000 ; red is #990000 ; the middle is something like #aa0000; and more colors I have, worse that become ! How do make pics like this one on the right ? (PS : I use Inkscape)

Two : I did the 37 -red.png characters of the traditionnal Bopomofo chinese alphabet, I will soon upload them to commons ^0^ (I havent internet at home nowadays)

And I continue slowly :]~

Hello, can you add your main bibliography to Talk:Chinese_stroke_order:Hanzi_ways_of_writing#Bibliography ~

Hello, we have a new member (see : category:Chinese stroke order ) who do some -order.gif animation. I will restart to work on this project this summer. Don't be worry if you don't have a clear and big bibliography, your -red.png pics are good and can easily be corrected if need. Yug (talk) 12:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Red chart ; Red pic table

[edit]
This chart is ok for 1 stroke to 8 strokes.
This chart is ok for 1 stroke to 8 strokes.

Hello, long time ago, using my mind and mathematics to find the good hexadecimal code, I did this html chart :

Black to Red values
000000 ff0000
000000 7f0000 ff0000
000000 550000 aa0000 ff0000
000000 3f0000 7f0000 bf0000 ff0000
000000 330000 660000 990000 cc0000 ff0000
000000 2b0000 550000 800000 aa0000 d40000 ff0000
000000 240000 490000 6e0000 920000 b70000 db0000 ff0000

Following this chart, today, I made the right here SVG-Image. This is totally mathematic, and border (dark side and red side) are not clearly different to human eyes. If you can, improve it and complete it as you can. I can't continue to calculate all this using my human wikipedian brain >0<"
If need, I also can make a .PNG copy.

An other thing : I think show the stroke order is mainly need for basical character, with 3, 4, 5, to 8 or 10 strokes. After that, I think we just have to show the order of radicals. In characvters such as your (16 strokes), we mostly need to know the "radicals order". So, If human eyes don't see the red stroke-to-stroke gradiant, that's ok too, we can study the 214 keys Yug (talk) 23:24, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. can you explame me why this file is PD, because we are ritagging the images with old tag PD. Have youurself made thise files? --RED DEVIL 666 10:44, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo, Muke. I have seen this word in your project, but is it really a Chinese character, or the character in the other Asian country? Please leave me a message in my talk page, thanks.Chanueting 15:41, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image has to be deleted as you provided it with an incorrect license. The imprint on www.tiermotives.de says: Copyrighted and only for non-commercial private and scientific use --Eva K. Message 11:20, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please have a look at the discussion I opened on your license tag: Commons talk:Licensing#User:Yug/Stroke order --ALE! ¿…?

Hello Muke + Change the license of the Stroke order Red images

[edit]

Hello, I'm currently making a clean up of the Stroke order project. A bot have replaced all my licenses, those of Wikic, of M4RC0, Erin and... your licenses by the new template : {{SOlicense}} ( GNU + CC-by 3.0 ).

Can you :

  • confirm that you agree with this License change ;

or

  • notice me that you disagree with this License change.

I have no personnal interest in this License change except the will to leave the project as clean as possible and so, with an unified template.

Yug (talk) 11:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for clarifying the red.png reds

[edit]

Hey Muke, thanks for clariying that for me. As for the red shades, I found this site and have been using its gradients for a while now. They are purely mathematical and so far it has worked pretty well for me. They slightly differ from the ones in the table though because of the rounding errors when you work with decimal-> hexadecimal (I think you made the math in decimal and then converted, right?) Thanks again, I'll produce some more red.png pics :D --Tauwasser (talk) 00:52, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please help replace this outdated license

[edit]

Hello!

Thank you for donating images to the Wikimedia Commons. You have uploaded some images in the past with the license {{PD}}. While this was a license acceptable in the early days of Wikimedia, since January 2006, this license has been deprecated and since October 2008 no new uploads with this license was allowed.

The license on older images should be replaced with a better and more specific license/permissions and you can help by checking the images and adding {{PD-self}} if you are the author or one of the other templates that you can see in the template on the image page.

Thank you for your help. If you need help feel free to ask at Commons talk:Licensing or contact User:Zscout370.

The images we would like you to check are:

Credit for work on Wikipedia Commons Stroke Order Project

[edit]

Hi Muke, a well-known author would like to use some of the Chinese character stroke sequences (with stroke order indicated with progressions from black to red) as examples of good design in a forthcoming book. The Wikipedia Commons Stroke Order Project lists you as a primary contributor of these images and we'd like to be able to give you credit by name in the references of the book, if you would like. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Littlefish000 (talk • contribs) 15:06, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
