First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.

Non ho capito come utilizzare il template Own work. Ho provato ad inserirlo (sebbene sembrasse già presente) ma ho paura di aver fatto dei pasticci perché non ho affatto capito la natura del problema sul file, né lo scopo della modifica. M pascal (talk) 07:10, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

La foto si vede così perché è stata scattata di notte con una fotocamera economica.

Va chiarito allora chi ha scattato la foto. I diritti appartengono al fotografo a meno che siano stati ceduti per contratto. Se è di tua proprietà, allora per piacere inoltra il contratto col fotografo al sevizio VRT (come detto altrove). Ruthven (msg) 09:54, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dall'estero, in effetti, quindi non posso neanhce verificare se il sito indica una licenza libera (se non la indica, allora dovrebbe farlo per poter usare questa foto). Comunque per rispettare i diritti morali (si suppone che tua moglia ti abbia ceduto i diritti economici dello scatto), va precisato il nome dell'autore. Sistemo i template e la fonte della foto. Non si tratta di un sito vero e proprio... Il link che ho fornito è relativo ad una libreria personale presente su un archivio domestico esposto su internet.
Si tratta proprio il link messo a disposizione dei giornalisti quando essi richiedono qualche foto da inserire negli articoli da pubblicare sui giornali. In pratica scelgono la foto e "si servono". M pascal (talk) 10:24, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ruthven conosco l'autore dell'immagine e posso farmi rilasciare l'autorizzazione. Non mi è chiaro però che formato di autorizzazione dovrei richiedere (digitale? cartaceo? altro?), né come associarla all'immagine caricata sulla pagina Wikipedia M pascal (talk) 07:13, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ri-ciao, puoi dire all'autore di usare Commons:Wikimedia_VRT_release_generator e di inviare a permissions-commons@wikimedia.org l'autorizzazione (digitale o cartacea) dalla sua mail "ufficiale" che deve corrispondere al dominio del sito dei campionati mondiali (perché suppongo che sia un logo realizzato per l'organizzazione dei campionati). Buonasera @Ruthven ho contattato Ram Barkai di IISA International Ice Swimming Association, il detentore dei diritti del logo e gli ho indicato la procedura di cui mi hai parlato.
Mi ha detto di averla seguita, ma su Wikimedia non trovo le immagini per le quali ha dato i diritti da voi richiesti. Devo fare qualcosa io o devo cercare in qualche modo particolare?

Su Repubblica non è indicato l'autore. Se sei ancora in contatto con loro, fà scrivere nella didascalia il nome dell'autore e la licenza libera CC BY SA 4.0 (cioè quella che hai indicato al momento del caricamento). Così recuperiamo la foto. Ruthven (msg) 09:39, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ciao, ma non è a te che la deve inviare la foto! O almeno, te la può inviare, ma la sua autorizzazione deve essere verificata. Comunque, se invii l'autorizzazione che Zanoni ti ha firmato al servizio VRT, magari si può recuperare la foto, una volta verificata la mail d'origine e la licenza indicata. @AntiCompositeBot ho aggiunto per ogni file caricato i tag relativi alla data, al tipo di licenza e quello per avvisare chi ha creato il file, come indicato del messaggio sulla pagina.
Per quanto riguarda le indicazioni riguardanti il rilascio della licenza esse erano già presenti per ognuno dei file in quanto L'autore (Ram Barkai) l'ha rilasciata il giorno 14/12/2022 (vedere Ticket #2022121410012147 di photosubmission@wikimedia.org del quale posseggo la mail, che posso inviarvi ma non viene indicato come).
