Getting help

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.

Neither this nor other images by Monika Jerominek violate copyright laws, as the Author herself has placed them in the public domain at: https://www.facebook.com/monika.jerominek.9/photos, and every internet user has access to them. OK. I apologize. I propose to delete this file because I do not have sufficient arguments for its inclusion here. It does not come from the Jerominek collection as I previously mentioned. You are confusing terms. That an artwork is accessible on the Internet to the "public" doesn't mean it is in the "public domain". The latter is a legal term concerning copyrights. Günther Frager (talk) 21:22, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can ask Monika Jerominek to send an explicit permission to COM:VRT. That a website claims the copyrights of artists placing them in a private Google shared drive and adding a notice on their website yesterday sounds fishy to me. Günther Frager (talk) 08:06, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! Thank you Gunter Frager for the suggestion. If you can, please tell me in what form Monika Jerominek (and others) should write this permission to make it appropriate? How can it be verifiable that she indeed wrote it and not someone else? A handwritten signature? Is it enough for her to join the discussion, using her nickname, and state that it's her? In other words, what form is sufficient (minimum) so that it doesn't seem suspicious to you (and to others with the power to delete content on Wikipedia)? Dear Wikipedians! I have a dream to create an article about the Silesian School of Iconography because I started it 11 years ago, and now I have some time since my children are on vacation, allowing me to devote myself to my passion. I once encountered this community and can't believe they aren't present on Wikipedia. I'm not very skilled with all the tools, so please: help me. I have a few more days to create great articles, but I also want to include them in Wikimedia Commons, where I'll upload all available works of the Silesian School of Iconography. I created the category "Silesian School of Iconography," but it seems something is not quite right. Help me make such a category. I'm also writing articles about some members of this school, but I can't gather all the materials. Perhaps I'll create basic drafts for further development, which I believe is also valuable. Please, take a look at the links (note! some are drafts and I'll be modifying them), but most importantly, I care about the Silesian School of Iconography. If you can, please improve these texts.

Dear Wikipedians! I have a dream to create an article about the Silesian School of Iconography because I started it 11 years ago, and now I have some time since my children are on vacation, allowing me to devote myself to my passion. I once encountered this community and can't believe they aren't present on Wikipedia. I'm not very skilled with all the tools, so please: help me. I have a few more days to create great articles, but I also want to include them in Wikimedia Commons, where I'll upload all available works of the Silesian School of Iconography. I created the category "Silesian School of Iconography," but it seems something is not quite right. Help me make such a category. I'm also writing articles about some members of this school, but I can't gather all the materials. Perhaps I'll create basic drafts for further development, which I believe is also valuable. Please, take a look at the links (note! some are drafts and I'll be modifying them), but most importantly, I care about the Silesian School of Iconography. If you can, please improve these texts.

You cannot delete these files with impunity! If the Silesian School of Iconography has the rights to these images and is sharing them, including on Wikipedia, under the appropriate license, you should contact this institution for confirmation. Furthermore, Wikipedians are not authorized to make arbitrary, unlawful decisions about deleting files. I strongly oppose the deletion of these files! Gunter Frager, if you must delete the files because I broke the law, then delete them. If you are a detective and what you find suspicious is enough of an argument to act, then act. I am helpless against such statements that something seems suspicious, and based on these suspicions, someone’s actions are blocked. However, if the images meet the formal requirements to be on Wikipedia, let them stay, regardless of the suspicions, thoughts, and emotions that accompany others. If they do not meet these requirements, please tell me what the minimum conditions (not maximum, extra ones) are that these images must meet to stay on Wikipedia. I am devastated by this treatment. Deleting contributions to the development of Wikipedia

Wikipedia is an organization that upholds law and objectivity and is usually kind to those contributing to its development. It is not enough for someone to have a suspicion, denial, or belief to block someone. One must demonstrate: - that someone's action is illegal; - specifically indicate which legal norm is being violated; - state what formal and minimal documents someone must present to be able to publish a given work, to convince the super editors. Otherwise, deleting someone's contribution to Wikipedia's development is an abuse and an act of violence by the super editors.
