Hi Laurenticwave,
if you are Jane Birkin's brother resp. the photographer as stated in the deletion discussion, thanks for the superb image. Nevertheless, to avoid unnecessary copyright doubts (and requests) due to the professional quality of the image, it would be better, if you could send the text template shown in Commons:Email templates to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org after inserting the image URL, a license of your choice, date and your name. This will not be disclosed to the public, but an OTRS ticket will be placed on the description page showing that permission has been granted. Thanks. --Túrelio (talk) 21:17, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- The same applies for Image:Judy Campbell in 1942.jpg. And who is the photographer of Image:Kicks Joy Darkness 2.jpg? You or Dan Parmenter? --Túrelio (talk) 21:30, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
I do wish Wikipedia could make life a little simpler for non-computer-lingo nerds like me! The photo of my mother Judy Campbell was taken by my father David Birkin, who died in 1991. My 2 sisters Jane and Linda are thus the copyright holders, our mother having died in 2004. We're happy to give copyright clearance to whoever wants it, throughout the universe till the end of time, providing our father is credited with having taken it! The same goes for my photo of Jane, and Dan Parmenter's photo of KJD, which has already appeared on the KJD/Anno CD, "Dreams of Waking" in 2004.
- Hi Laurenticwave, when you upload some pics from your own photo album, I could make some more redlinks blue, according to Category:Judy Campbell. *btw.: You can sign your contributions, when you add this: ~~~~ to your edits. Regards Mutter Erde (talk) 19:28, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

File tagging File:Kicks Joy Darkness 2.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Kicks Joy Darkness 2.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Kicks Joy Darkness 2.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
