Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 has finished
[edit]Dear Kulac,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments and sharing your pictures with the whole world. You are very welcome to keep uploading images, even though you can't win prizes any longer. To get started on editing relevant Wikipedia articles, click here for more information and help. |

FYI: Used your media file
[edit]This is a courtesy note. One of your media files is featured in a new commercial eBook in Apple’s iBooks store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/dr.-kemps-kids-love-bugs/id497852225?mt=11
I’ve contributed images to Wikipedia for over seven years now (including several POTD and Featured Images) and I designed the WikiSpecies logo. I respect your work here and the CC-BY-SA license we all labor under.
I know commercializing Wikipedia work is tricky and so I’ve taken great pains to follow your CC-BY-SA license requirements. I also plan to donate 10% of my proceeds to the Wikimedia Foundation directly. This is the very first self-published e-book created with Apple’s new tools and sold in the store.
I’ve given your file a credit line in the “Image and Video Credits” section starting at page 24 as required here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_Creative_Commons_Attribution-ShareAlike_3.0_Unported_License
This compilation features many of the finest Wikipedia media files in their exact form and not as derivative works. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verbatim_copying_under_the_GFDL#Making_verbatim_copies_of_images
If I did alter your work -- such as cutting out an insect part or adding a video sound track -- I shared a Share Alike version of the new media in a DRM-free format and listed the web address in the credits section.
Thank you very much for uploading your work to Wikipedia and releasing it for the world to use in enriching educational formats.

Imagesin QI
[edit]The three images in IQ are very good and very useful. But they are slightly under exposed you could correct it?
- Oniscus asellus Furlbachtal01.jpg
- Cercopis vulnerata moosheide01.jpg
- Aphrophora alni03.jpg
- Best regards --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:15, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- hi! sorry, but i don´t think that more brightness will be good for the pictures. did you try that out? best regards, --Kulac (talk) 16:43, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- The scientific point of view, they are good. But the esthetic point of view they are a bit dark, and it does not capture the attention in a stream of images as IQ. It is very easy to change by increasing the light only in the midtones. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
- i added some brightness to 1. and 2. you were right, they look better now. but the 3. one is still ok for me. the white background is otherways to dominating. best regards, --Kulac (talk) 19:08, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Nur zur Info! :)
[edit]Moin! --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 21:20, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- danke! ich hab die dateien allerdings mit "move" verschoben. war also zumindest auf meiner seite kaum mehrarbeit. wenn das beim löschen aufs gleiche kommt, wärs also egal. lg, --Kulac (talk) 21:22, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Jein. Was am Ende rauskommt zaehlt... :-)) Macht das Leben fuer Admins einfacher, die Fileverschieber machen das mit einem Klick. Dann haben wir nicht soviele SD abzuarbeiten. Bleibt viel liegen, 40.000 Files ohne Quellenangaben zb. :) Wie gesagt, war nur zur Info. Beide Wege sind OK. Kanndu machen wie willdu, sagt das Haeschen. :) --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 21:34, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Nachholtermin 17. Fotoworkshop
Tschüß
Euer

Important message for file movers
[edit]A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect
user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.
Possible acceptable uses of this ability:
- To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
- To perform file name swaps.
- When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)
Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.
The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect
user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:36, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
