Thanks for uploading File:Seal of Ayodhya.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Seal of Ayodhya.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently uploading media that is in violation of Commons' licensing policy, despite our warnings not to do so, and despite our instructions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may add {{unblock|your reason here}} below this message explaining clearly why you should be unblocked. See block log.

Unblock request declined

This blocked user asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators has reviewed and declined this request. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without discussion.

Request reason: "I understand that there must be a reason for the block, and I would like to provide some context and request a review of the decision. I was less informed about how the copyright violation works. I am committed to contributing positively to Wikimedia Commons and adhering to the community guidelines. If there are specific issues that led to the block, I am more than willing to address them and ensure that my future contributions align with the platform's policies.
I appreciate your time and consideration of my request. Thank you for your dedication to maintaining the integrity of Wikimedia Commons. Homolego (talk) 15:54, 24 December 2023 (UTC)"[reply]
Decline reason: "This is, of course, your third block (!!!) As I previously advised you, COM:BP asks an understanding of the issue and a credible commitment to discontinue. Those are, yet again, not on offer. I also, yet again, remind you of your previous assertions, "The mistake shall not be committed again" [1] and "I assure you that the mistake will never be committed again, this the first (sic) and last (sic) mistake on Wikimedia" [2], which were, demonstrably, lies. Notwithstanding that the questionnaire in the UploadWizard, which you've used, is designed such that uploads such as yours can only be made by lying, as only one example: as of 12:53, 13 December 2023 , when you uploaded File:Dr Mohan Yadav.jpg with the source "social media", the warning " everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here" (bold in original (!!!)} appeared 15 times (!!!) on this page. That you still appear unware and confused by the block ("there must be a reason for the block" and "If there are specific issues that led to the block") is outrageous and suggests you lack even the minimal competence required to edit here. This request is, indeed as below, entirely disingenuous; if you continue to post unresponsive unblock requests, your ability to edit your talk page will be revoked. This unblock request is disingenuous. You can research the laws of copyright easily enough. You can research the Commons licencing policy, which is linked in your block notice. You can see the AN/B discussion, either on the main page or in the archives. I recommend to the reviewing admin that this unblock request be declined, with strong advice for the editor to do this research and make a new application after they have researched, proving that they understand licencing. 🇺🇦 Timtrent 🇺🇦 talk to me 🇺🇦 16:19, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reading the AN/B archives, after the first block expired the editor went back immediately to breach of copyright. I would require very clear assurances were I an admin considering this or a future unblock request 🇺🇦 Timtrent 🇺🇦 talk to me 🇺🇦 16:30, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear [Administrator's Username],

I appreciate your prompt response and the detailed explanation of the reasons for my block on Wikimedia Commons. I understand the gravity of the situation and want to express my sincere apologies for any frustration my actions may have caused.

I acknowledge your concern about this being my third block and the issues raised regarding my previous assurances. I genuinely want to address these concerns and demonstrate a credible commitment to discontinue any actions that violate Wikimedia Commons policies.

Regarding the UploadWizard questionnaire and the example you provided with File:Dr Mohan Yadav.jpg, I understand the importance of accurate sourcing and adherence to copyright guidelines. I assure you that I am committed to learning from past mistakes and adhering strictly to the policies moving forward.

I appreciate your guidance in this matter and, if possible, would like further clarification on the specific issues related to my recent contributions. This will help me better understand the nature of the problem and take corrective actions accordingly.

Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Homolego (talk • contribs) 09:28, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
