Hi. Your uploads don't seem to meet the criteria of the project in a number of aspects. As there seems to be a mix of personal and copyright images, I have removed them. Please look to comply with the educational purpose of the site. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:36, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- Billinghurst I'm sorry, but why did you delete "File:Lenny Maidana 2021.jpg" for "copyright"? I took this photo. It's my copyright lol Heylenny (talk) 06:56, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
If you ask me the same question on my user talk page, and I answer there, not certain why I would need to answer here as well. [Merging that conversation here ...]
Why did you delete "File:Lenny Maidana 2021.jpg" for "F1 - copyright"? I took this photo. Heylenny (talk) 07:22, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- I bulk deleted it with the other copyright uploads. Please see Com:Undelete for the process and please address how that photograph is within scope. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:47, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
Copyright violations
Hello Heylenny.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

File tagging File:Lil lenny.png
This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Lil lenny.png. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Lil lenny.png]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

- Changed to indef-block per the flickr-washing at File:Cravo de defunto Tagetes patula.jpg and File:Orla do lago Guaiba em Porto Alegre.png. That adds to other copyright violations deleted before. It seems obvious to me you are not here to contribute positively. Bedivere (talk) 08:18, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Bedivere Hello. What makes you think these photos were not taken by Lenny? Also check his unblocking request below. Darwin Ahoy! 00:18, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- It makes me think these aren't his that the Porto one did not even have an EXIF, and this user did upload copyright violations before. As stated in the block reason, how could they have taken a picture as a baby, asking their grandfather to get it as a work-for-hire? That is non-sense. The one in the dunes would need permission too, and this user seems to be using Commons for self-gratification, which is unacceptable. Bedivere (talk) 00:37, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Bedivere Not havig EXIF is not a reason to make that kind of accusations. The one in the dunes was a work for hire, as was clearly explained there, and the baby photo AFAIK was taken by his late grandfather and the copyright has since passed to him. If you have not any proof the copyright is not theirs, you really should abstain from making those judgements, and even more applying indef blocks. Your attitude here was clearly abusive. Darwin Ahoy! 00:43, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- The block was issued not because of that, in fact. It was because of the profile picture which they claim as a work-for-hire, which is non sense. Given this user's history, I would expect better proof these pictures are theirs. I stand by my actions firmly. Having said that, I would not actively oppose an unblock if you can handle this issue better than me. Bedivere (talk) 00:51, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Bedivere He's a newbie, and still learning the ropes. I've been helping him, so I know some more info about the files. The work-for-hire claim in the baby picture was indeed wrong, but AFAIK the copyright do belong to him indeed, it was the license which was wrong. Thank you for your understanding, I'll unblock him, then, and keep an eye on what he's doing here. Darwin Ahoy! 00:58, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

- @Bedivere my photo when I was a baby "File:Lil lenny.png" is a printed photo taken by my grandfather, we took several photos that day on the digital camera, which was new at the time, so he printed this photo, and it has been with me ever since, in my personal photo album. He passed away in 2017 and all of our photos have been under my copyright since then. The "File:Orla do lago Guaiba em Porto Alegre.png" photo was taken by me on my iPhone 11 Pro, and it was edited on PicsArt, I think that's why it doesn't have an EXIF, I also posted this photo on my Instagram the day I took it. The "File:Cravo de defunto Tagetes patula.jpg" was taken by me on my Canon T5 in 2017. The photo even has my own hand on it. The "File:Lenny_in_the_dunes.jpeg" was also taken on my iPhone by my request. Heylenny (talk) 00:59, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how would the copyright from your grandfather would directly be transferred to you (his grandson) upon their death, shouldn't your father/mother have been the inheritor? But then again, Darwin will take care of this. Have a good day. Thanks Darwin. Bedivere (talk) 01:07, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently uploading media that is in violation of Commons' licensing policy, despite our warnings not to do so, and despite our instructions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may add {{unblock|your reason here}} below this message explaining clearly why you should be unblocked. See block log.
