De-adminship warning (Aug 2019)

This talk page in other languages:

Dear Hedwig in Washington. I am writing to inform you that you are in danger of losing your adminship on Commons because of inactivity.

If you want to keep your adminship, you need both to sign at Commons:Administrators/Inactivity section/Aug-Sep 2019 within 30 days of today's date, and also to make at least five further admin actions in the following six months. Anyone who does not do so will automatically lose administrator rights.

You can read the de-admin policy at Commons:Administrators/De-adminship. 4nn1l2 (talk) 01:33, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

Please Delete these

Can you delete these files please? They are from the Indian Army and ideally are fine. But as one license reviewer notified me on my talk page, Indian Army contains some copyright claims on its site that are apparently not compatible with commons. I HAVE FOUND ALTERNATIVE SOURCES for some of these images and will upload them from there.

Structured Data - blogs posted in Wikimedia Space

There are two separate blog entries for Structured Data on Commons posted to Wikimedia Space that are of interest:

  • Working with Structured Data on Commons: A Status Report, by Lucas Werkmeister, discusses some ways that editors can work with structured data. Topics include tools that have been written or modified for structured data, in addition to future plans for tools and querying services.
  • Structured Data on Commons - A Blog Series, written by me, is a five-part posting that covers the basics of the software and features that were built to make structured data happen. The series is meant to be friendly to those who may have some knowledge of Commons, but may not know much about the structured data project.
I hope these are informative and useful, comments and questions are welcome. All the blogs offer a comment feature, and you can log in with your Wikimedia account using oAuth. I look forward to seeing some posts over there. -- Keegan (WMF) (talk) 21:33, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

File:Mark Dvorzhetski Avraham Cohen Yaakov Riftin.jpg was removed - why?

There was a warning about the licence but it was fixed immediatly. I also explixitly commented that it was fixed Zyakov (talk) 21:42, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

@Zyakov: The file is back. The reason it was deleted is that nobody removed the deletion tag and when the time is up, off they go in one big swoop. Usually a few hundred. I often catch a few before, but I can't find them all. Anyway. File is back, I cleaned it up a little and added categories.

Delete: Macará 6.png

sorry, what's wrong with the "Delete" label in Macará 6.png. Barú Sanchezpérez (talk) 01:46, 22 October 2019 (UTC).

@Barú Sanchezpérez: The logo is pretty simple, therefore it is considered to be in the public domain. Have a look at Com:TOO for more info. C(_) --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 02:02, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
I'm gonna check CM:TOO, but I think this a elaborate logo. Who decides if a logo is pretty simple or not?. Barú Sanchezpérez (talk) 12:55, 22 October 2019 (UTC).
Decide? Well, the local courts do. For instance, the TOO in the UK is very, very low; in the USA you have a lot more leeway. It all depends, there is no one solution. If you still think the logo is above TOO, please start a regular deletion request so others can chime in.
