Hello, Ewy25!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Answer: He tooks the picture at 70´s. The owner of every each is Enrique Moleon Espigares and he sents a message to commons permission 2012/24/Jan. for using it. Please don´t delete it. Thanks. And what can I do if still I didn´t receive reply message from commons permission, and I have no OTRS received id. to write next the picture? and they are trying to delete the picture.

Hi Ewy25, did you really shoot the original photography shown in this image or did you just scan/reproduce a print? --Túrelio (talk) 13:20, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Answer:

I wasn´t born in that date. They took the picture at 1970. The owner is Enrique Moleon Espigares and he sents a message to commons permission date 2012/24/Jan. for using it. Please don´t delete it. Thanks.

O.k. Could you then correct the author name in the description and add this template OTRS pending. --Túrelio (talk) 15:39, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Answer: Ok, And what can I do if still I didn´t receive the reply message from commons permission, and I have no OTRS received id. to write next the picture? and they are trying to delete the picture.

OTRS usually has a backlog. But by adding the OTRS-pending template, as suggested above, you get quite more time. --Túrelio (talk) 21:16, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot.--Ewy25 (talk) 22:03, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Ewy25[reply]

But why didn't you add the above mentioned template to any of the 3 images? --Túrelio (talk) 07:02, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Answer:

Why I didn´t aware that in addition to seek the permission of Commons also I had to be referenced in the article at the same time. January 24 the day the owner of the rights requested permits, according to advice from a library the same day, and a day later for your advice, in the article I added these templates to await confirmation by e-authorization of Commons to the owner of copyright. While still waiting for the permits by-permission commons. Also say that the owner of the copyright only asked permission for four of the above, not doing it for the pictures 1982 Cadetes.jpg and 1985 Formacion Cadetes.jpg both of which ultimately were not used in Article. Thank you for your help.

I have no idea what you are talking of. I instructed you on 25 January 2012 to put this OTRS pending onto the image page. --Túrelio (talk) 14:35, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Answer

Yes, yes of course. I mean that another librarian, not you, has called for the withdrawal of the pictures for lack of permits, saying that had spoken to me and no answer from me, when the owner of the rights had already completed the request to use commons-permision. And my question was how could I ask not to remove the pictures that are now being in deleted process. Thanks uou very much for your advice and help and apologize the misunderstanding but English is not my language of normal use.

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This message was added automatically by Nikbot, if you need some help about it please read the text above again and follow the links in it, if you still need help ask at the ? Commons:Help desk in any language you like to use. --Nikbot 20:41, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
