Copyright status: File:الشيخ سلطان بن زايد 19-1-1961.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:الشيخ سلطان بن زايد 19-1-1961.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Pence
[edit]More on Pence at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Mike Pence official portrait.jpg. Apparently pursued on identical grounds. I'm happy to see some consistency as well, since the whole OTRS thing keeps us in the dark and guessing. Finnusertop (talk) 01:07, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Finnusertop: Thanks for the heads up. I too am curious as to what is the actual licence of these images. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 16:09, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
Adwoa Aboah
[edit]Hi Emir of Wikipedia. I see you've uploaded the file File:Adwoa Aboah on noughties fashion Jeremy Scott and LA - LOVE.webm, which was originally uploaded to YouTube. Lovely. But that video has recently been deleted due to a copyright claim. I guess that means we should also delete it, right? Trijnsteltalk 17:20, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Trijnstel: If it was any other copyright claim then I would understand, but it says that the claim was by Love Magazine. Unless I am confused I don't see how someone can file a copyright claim against themselves. This archive shows that it was Love who uploaded it. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 17:52, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, that's a bit strange, indeed. Trijnsteltalk 18:18, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi again! Thanks for uploading File:KAIA DAY LOVEME17 - LOVE.webm, but I hear no sound. Perhaps something went wrong? Trijnsteltalk 16:29, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again Trijnstel. Something has gone wrong. At first I thought I accidentally uploaded just the video without an audio file, but after looking at multiple YouTube downloaders and the multiple files they have produced none of them have any sound even the audio only files. I have tried some other videos and they too have failed to have download with any sound. I'll try again later, but if I can't fix it then it might be best to just delete. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 17:47, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
- Any update here? Did you try to re-upload the video? Trijnsteltalk 16:47, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
- I have tried to redownload but unfortunate I have failed in fixing whatever the problem is. Please delete File:KAIA DAY LOVEME17 - LOVE.webm and File:In Bed With...Sonia Ben Ammar - LOVE.webm (another file with the same issue). DO NOT delete my other YouTube video upload File:Adwoa Aboah on noughties fashion Jeremy Scott and LA - LOVE.webm as that does have audio. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 16:50, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Trijnstel: Hi. Should we do what I said above or is there someone else we can ask for help? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 14:45, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
- I don't want to delete them... can't we do something else to make it work? Trijnsteltalk 21:57, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'll give it another try to download them, but if that doesn't work then I think deleting might be best. I could still take a screenshot of a moment in the video so Commons would still have a piece of media for the person. We could always ask someone at Commons:Help desk to give it a try as well. Could you also look at the contribution of this user? It may be related to some your recent DR nominations. Ankry (talk) 19:35, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Ankry: Thanks for alerting me about that user. Would it be best to do a mass deletion for the three files, or do you suggest something else? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:59, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
- I do not suggest anything. And just FYI: Commons:Requests for checkuser/Case/TheBlueNosedTory. Ankry (talk) 23:04, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
File:In Bed With...Sonia Ben Ammar - LOVE.webm has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

I have only 1 question, WHY? WP:BULLYING others? Abbasquadir (talk) 17:25, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Abbasquadir: What are you on about? WP:BULLYING is a redlink, and we are not even on WP. --Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 17:27, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
