Ancinet Chinese Coins
Hi, DO you know any where to get (ie purchase) Asian coins? I've been wanting to get some and you seem like an expert on coins. 98.109.59.215 12:46, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- I personally stopped buying them in large numbers several years ago, eBay, Marktplaats.nl, Etc. Are usually good but a lot of fakes, and I mean a lot of fakes are online, it's best to mostly use a trusted seller, you could consult lists like Lars Bo Christensen's list of eBay dealers or the Fake Chinese Cash on eBay blog. Personally I would advise you to buy them only from trusted sellers. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 13:06, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you Donald. 98.109.59.215 13:57, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

bat note?
what is the bat note mentioned in your edit motice — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.243.70.217 (talk) 16:15, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- @50.243.70.217: It's a Zhenjiangian (as in "from Zhenjiang") banknote issued during the Qing Dynasty which features an image of five (5) bats 🦇, this is a visual pun referencing the "five blessings" (longevity ‘shou’ (壽), wealth ‘fu’ (富), health and composure ‘kangning’ (康寧), love of virtue ‘xin hao de’ (修好德), and the desire to have a peaceful death in old age ‘kao zhong ming’ (考終命)." from the English Wikipedia), as the Mandarin 🍊 Chinese word for "bat" sounds like "blessing", "lucky" or "happy" they are used as a visual pun. "Bat-note 🦇" itself is a reference to an online meme where people justify the DC (Detective Comics) Comics 💭 book protagonist Bruce Wayne who under his alter ego Batman (sometimes written as "the Bat-man") can do feats that would be impossible for a normal human being displaying both impossible wit and strength, as he is known for going toe-to-toe with the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, and even Darkseid his fans always exclaim the lazy writing for when his authors suddenly make him capable enough to fight these adversaries (or in the first two cases allies) is due to the fact that "he's Batman" without ever giving an actual plausible in-universe 🌌 explanation. I combined the two and created "Bat-note" because... Why not, it's the same level of lazy writing that gave us the Joker cutting off his own face and then having it randomly re-grown while another character called "Joker's daughter" is still carrying his "old face" in other issues. But welcome to the world's of Chinese symbolism and American comic books I guess... --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 16:30, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
Correction: The word I was looking for is "rebus" as it's both a visual pun and a homophonic pun. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 16:37, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

People to contact to donate their images
- Scott Semans. Contact after importing other images, and finishing all of my "Chinese work" on Wikipedia, as this is a (if not the) top expert on the Anglophone internet regarding Chinese cash coins and Chinese charms, I might need to have "something of value" to present to him so he could donate. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 20:21, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Videoplasty
Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Videoplasty
"To close it off, my advice to Videoplasty would be to change the required attribution on their license to something people don't want to see, something that really disrupts like those messages at free trials like say “This animation was provided to you by Videoplasty.com, to use this animation without paying a fee this message should be prominently displayed at 600% the size of the animation below or besides it, if you want to stop seeing this message then please go to m.videoplast.com/NAME OF THE SHOP”"
Euh nee zo werkt het dus niet: https://creativecommons.org/faq/#can-i-insist-on-the-exact-placement-of-the-attribution-credit
"No. CC licenses allow for flexibility in the way credit is provided depending on the medium, means, and context in which a licensee is redistributing licensed material. For example, providing attribution to the creator when using licensed material in a blog post may be different than doing so in a video remix. This flexibility facilitates compliance by licensees and reduces uncertainty about different types of reuse—minimizing the risk that overly onerous and inflexible attribution requirements are simply disregarded."
"identification of the creator(s) of the Licensed Material and any others designated to receive attribution, in any reasonable manner requested by the Licensor (including by pseudonym if designated);"
https://videoplasty.com/about-us/#.W2U6deduJEI
"Looking around online to see what other options there are, I realised all the other sites charge an arm and a leg for their stock animation and stock footage and have highly restrictive licensing, that you need a lawyer to even understand it.
--Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 05:37, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- Alexis Jazz ping plz 08:04, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- Je zou trouwens
kunnen gebruiken i.p.v.
Reason 1. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 18:12, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
--Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 18:58, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
--Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:01, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
--Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:43, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
--Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 20:29, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
