File:Gdragon chanel IMG 7354.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

- The photo I chose is from the same event and not copyrighted at all. I chose a more flattering photo which is not an issue. Please stop changing it David Soyer (talk) 16:32, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- If the site is somehow saying it’s copyrighted(which I never got a notice for)then I can gladly find a better photo for him which I have a right in doing. David Soyer (talk) 16:48, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- I just received the notification of the issue. I have no idea why it took so long to receive it. And it says that I forgot to add a link, which is why the assumption was made that it is possibly copyrighted. The photo he currently has on Wikipedia has a YouTube link as a source, which is also the source I forgot to add to mine. Just wondering if I can quickly reverse this copyright assumption or have to upload the photo again. I won’t do anything until I have a response from you just to be sure we’re on the same page David Soyer (talk) 17:06, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

File copyright status
[edit]Welcome to Wikimedia Commons. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the project, one or more of your file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikimedia Commons takes copyright rules and infringement very seriously. Files may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our licensing policy, and if their source is clearly documented. Files that fail to meet those conditions may be deleted, and users who fail to meet them may be blocked. Please follow our first steps, if you haven't already. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the Village Pump copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. --Yann (talk) 09:48, 27 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello. I’ve been trying to get in contact with nkon21 because it’s the same account who keeps forcibly removing my photo without saying anything. I don’t know if they’re a bot but it’s not even their picture I’m trying to change. I tried talking to the account but they haven’t responded to me at all.
- here’s my issue: the source of the pic I chose is the same source of the current pic on Gdragons profile. It said I couldn’t upload the same source twice (I don’t know if that’s a glitch or not) so I found another source with the same pic. Multiple sources have used the same pic so I am confused on why my photo is being copyrighted. Should I try using the same source as the current pic again and see if that really was a glitch? Because it doesn’t make sense how their photo isnt copyrighted but mine is. Also how can I send my photo on Wikimedia to be tested for copyright before I upload? Please respond thank you David Soyer (talk) 14:58, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello David Soyer.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |
