Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, 55378008a!

-- Wikimedia Commons Welcome (talk) 05:08, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't doubt that this work of ours, after it becomes known among people, will be envied and slandered. For just as the body is followed by the shadow, virtue, by which I mean good deeds, is followed by envy. And those who are born to slander, since they are unable to do deeds or create works similar to those of others, slander them if they cannot do more harm to them. But I care not for the envy and slanders, for as God and my good conscience are my witnesses, I've done this for nothing else but the glory of God and I had only the strengthening of His house in view.

He asks all Christian readers not to scold him for his errors, but to pinpoint them to him, so that he can correct them. His death shortly after the first publication prevented him from revising his translation. In 1608 a former student, Albert Szenczi Molnár, published a revised edition known as the Hanau Bible.

Faulre [sic] to accept free upload formats and inexplicable insistence on nonfree pdf one

[edit]

At [4] it says this:

Feel free to experiment by creating pages with the Data:Sandbox/<username>/ prefix. For now, page content can only be edited in the raw JSON format.

- but if you try it you get this:

Data:Sandbox/55378008a/

From Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository Jump to navigation Jump to search

There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page.

Further, [5] makes this false claim:

To create a new table, create a new page in the Data: namespace with a .tab suffix, such as Data:Sandbox/Example user/Example.tab.

Creating Data:Sandbox/55378008a/edits.tab

Jump to navigation Jump to search Note: When you edit this page, you agree to release your contribution according to the license specified in the 'licence' field.

and that threat aside when you try that, you get this:

Error: Parameter "license" must be a single line string no longer than 400 characters, with no tabs, and must not begin or end with a space

not only that there is no Parameter "license" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 55378008a (talk • contribs) 10:42, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lastly, per [6]:

MediaWiki software allows for the creation of dynamic text (via Lua modules) and graphs using data in JSON format in the dedicated Data: namespace, though. Possible are:

Map data, allowing users to store GeoJSON data. Tabular data, allowing users to create CSV-like tables of data.

fails with this:

Upload warning

".tab" is not a permitted file type. Permitted file types are tiff, tif, png, gif, jpg, jpeg, webp, xcf, pdf, mid, ogg, ogv, svg, djvu, stl, oga, flac, opus, wav, webm, mp3, midi.

despite this:

To create a new table, create a new page in the Data: namespace with a .tab suffix,

I don't understand. Why do I feel like I'm just not getting it here 55378008a (talk) 10:41, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Volunteer- HELP!

[edit]

[[7]] makes this claim:

Unsupported free file formats

Requested at least once, but not currently supported; help needed to support these. :-)

but provides zero useful info on how to go about this. I would like to volunteer with this how do I do so - 55378008a (talk) 12:05, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Commons has a specific scope

Thank you for your contributions. Your image or other content was recently deleted, or will soon be deleted, in accordance with our process and policies, because it was not, or is not, within our scope. Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at educational media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. The expression “educational” is to be understood according to its broad meaning of “providing knowledge; instructional or informative”. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote. If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. Otherwise, consider an alternative outlet. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Thank you for your understanding.

Some notes

[edit]

55378008a, you're wasting my time, but I'll tell you something:

  1. On en:wp there is en:WP:NOTHERE. Here on Commons we don't have that rationale. If we had it you might have been already shown the door because
  2. the amount of your contributions here on Commons that are useful for this project is exactly nothing, null, zero. Proof: Special:Contributions/55378008a shows only edits of playing in your sandboxes and rambling on a few user pages, absolutely nothing that advances our projects.
  3. Your undeletion request was quite poor because
"1) no reason given by deletor": To be seen on File:Edits.pdf
"2) nor is it even clear they're even an admin": Every admin has a note on their user page showing that he is one
"3) As near as I can tell the 'work' is in scope enough": You obviously didn't read COM:PS, your uploaded file fails twice: A media file which is neither: -realistically useful for an educational purpose, nor -legitimately in use as discussed above falls outside the scope of Wikimedia Commons. and Non-allowable reasons for PDF and DjVu formats [...] -The content is essentially raw text; such files are not considered media files.
And finally: 3 admins have been involved, one tagged the file for deletion, another one checked and deleted it, a third one declined the undeletion request.

Your behavior on en:wp isn't taken into account here on Commons but if your contributions are considered to be disrupting you will have to face the consequences. To be honest: If I were you I'd search the web for a better playground. Regards, --Achim (talk) 17:57, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks hope you are well

[edit]

Thanks for telling me I'm wasting your time. I'm sure you are extremely important and many many people are terrorized to death of you - for all I know you have had a considerable number of people murdered and tortured and gang raped to steal their children - my hats off to you for being above the law for that thats very impressive - I hope your steroids never run out or you fail to supply people with the roy ball. These are sandbox edits my friend. Whatever persuades you to insult harass people deleting their sandbox - you might want to put a little more effort into the anger management. Some day the wind is going to blow that stuff back on you and we all know you cant rely on isabel and liberty dialysis forever - we both know theyll gitcha eventually.

hanks for your response tho and look forward to seeing you again and the future interactions with yet more of your minions and lackeys. May I mention another thing this isn't worth your having pets or kids like koh tao or 18williams killed over. 55378008a (talk) 10:40, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
