Hello とある白い猫. You are receiving this message as a license reviewer. As you know, OTRS processes a large amount of tickets relating to image releases (called "permissions"). As a license reviewer, you may have the skills necessary to contribute to this team. If you are interested in learning more about OTRS or to volunteer please visit Meta-Wiki. Tell your friends! Thank you. Rjd006019:01, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your account will be renamed
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called とある白い猫. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name とある白い猫~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

An offering for our new administrator from your comrades...
とある白い猫, congratulations! You now have administrator rights on Commons. Please take a moment to read the Commons:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Commons:Administrators' noticeboard and its subpages), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings or modifications of protected pages. The majority of the actions of administrators can be reversed by the other admins, except for history merges which must thus be treated with particular care. Have a look at the list of Gadgets (on the bottom there are the ones specifically for admins – however, for example the UserMessages are very helpful too).
Thank you all, I am most humbled and a bit overwhelming by the community support. I will serve commons to the best of my abilities! -- とある白い猫ちぃ? 21:44, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
Please review your deletion closure comment at Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Cosplay of Pedobear. If cosplay is Derivative Work, then it's not available to be self-licensed. There have been other, many other discussions on this topic, and I remember that other files have also been removed because cosplay of copyrighted characters is not able to be licensed by the photographer of the image. (A) the costume was not made by the photographer, (B) the original copyrighted character wasn't made by either the costumer or the photographer. Please reconsider your close on this DN. Thank you. Hello Ellin Beltz. Good catch, what I meant to say was w:Threshold of originality. I am uncomfortable in closing this with a "delete" as long as Category:Cosplay exists. We need a wider consensus on cosplay in general where we decide if we will allow cosplay of copyrighted characters at all. I do not see anything special about these files compared to other such cosplay. -- とある白い猫ちぃ? 01:24, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
Due to many instances of the term being used in a hostile or sexual way, the shortcut m:Dick now directs to the essay m:Don't be a jerk. Effectively the shortcut 'dick' has been depreciated in favour of 'jerk'. Please keep in mind it is just an essay on meta, and it might be better to rely on COM:Mellow which has stronger links to Commons:Blocking policy with regard to maintaining a collegial atmosphere. Hope you don't mind me highlighting this shift in practices for you. Thanks --Fæ (talk) 13:28, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Fæ: Given how I did not use the link in a hostile or sexual way, I do not see much of a problem with it. I was fully aware of the page rename. The argument "people can act like a dick/jerk because that page is just an essay" does not hold. Such people can and should be promptly stopped by any means necessary. Often simply asking people to be civil is sufficient. Some people decide to curse at you when you ask them to be civil and treatment of such behavior is well established. This is indeed certainly vital if we want to have a collegial and cordial community.
I am quite puzzled why you would see a need to link me to COM:Mellow and Commons:Blocking policy since I do not remember enacting one since 2008. If you are implying I should block someone, you ought to me more clear on what this is about.
