The title of the picture isn't right, it shows "300px" on Kezdőlap (hungarian) for example. --grin ✎ 13:36, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- this happens if the description contains a "|" out of any brackets (such as links); the description is most probably incorrect and may contain bad code for some embedded link. Verdy p 14:35, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Clear?
[edit]This template seems to have started clearing (style="clear:both" or <br clear="all">) itself a few days ago, but I don't see anything in the code. See my user page. --Pmsyyz 13:37, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Edit links?
[edit]Why are there suddenly edit links? I don't really like it, but I can get with it. What I don't understand, though, is why there is also an edit link to the English version when you are in other language (see the French Main Page, for example). If nobody disagrees, I'll change that. - Keta 08:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh no! Don't remove English edit link, it is required when translating.--AlefZet 22:31, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
Fallback to En?
[edit]- If description not translated to Your language, now showing nothing in that, but (+-) links only. I like way on Template:Motd showing as fallback English description.--AlefZet 22:38, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
frame around edit links
[edit]Why edit links in polish version are in this strage frame? It doesn't look very nice. It has changed some time ago. Previusly liks looked like in other language versions. --Sfu (talk) 06:21, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Hungarian image description is missing
[edit]From the POTD monthly lists. It's missing from both the primary and the Other lanuages sections. --KGyST (talk) 10:40, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- I mistakenly commented out the Hungarian description when redesigning {{Potd/Day}}. It's Fixed now. --The Evil IP address (talk) 11:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, it works now. --KGyST (talk) 11:33, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Template usage problem ? (File: Polydactyly 01 Lhand AP.jpg)
[edit]I've found this "ancient" POD-candidate.
In the expanded languages-list I can find only 11 entries. But there are existing 20 descriptions, as you can see here:
I've tested a little with the :nl-text (the first not displaying one); but couldn't get more entries displayed; so I restored the old :nl-version.
Is this limited count of entries intended in some way?

Davidson Glacier caption
[edit]Please change the caption from "The glacier, a tourist attraction in Haines, was discovered by 1867." to "The glacier, a tourist attraction in Haines, was named in 1867." There are two problems. One, the Alaska Natives certainly had "discovered" it prior to 1867. Two, I just checked the ref at en:Davidson Glacier and 1867 is the year it was named for en:George Davidson (geographer). The cited ref makes so assertion that anybody discovered it that year, and I changed the enwiki article accordingly. Thanks, Featous (talk) 19:03, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
