Name of template (currently "Cultural property of national significance in Switzerland")

[edit]

KGS numbers are available for properties of national and regional significance, but not necessarily for those with local significance.

Currently this template is used for properties with national and regional significance. Thus it should probably be renamed. --  Docu  at 09:06, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

5-digit KGS-No. starting 1.1.2023 -> Template bug?ǃ

[edit]

The number scheme for KGS numbers has changed to 5-digit with leading zeros , regardless the number e.g. 13 becomes 00013 288 becomes 00288 or 9876 becomes 09876. - Source: https://www.babs.admin.ch/en/aufgabenbabs/kgs/inventar.html
As I don't know how to adapt the template, maybe somebody else will have skill and time to adapt? AnBuKu (talk) 15:46, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Output: wording

[edit]

This template displays the text: This is an image of a cultural property of national significance in Switzerland with KGS number XXX. Or in German: Dies ist ein Bild von einem Kulturgut ... Or in French: Cette photo concerne un bien culturel suisse .... If this template is included on the meta page for a photo of Berne Cathedral, this is correct. If this template appears on the meta page of an audio document of Berne Cathedral (e.g. bells), this is justified, but the wording is incorrect. Because the sound document is not an image (in french: photo). The text of this template would therefore be better worded as follows: This is a recording of a cultural property ... In german: Dies ist eine Aufnahme von einem Kulturgut ... In french: Cet enregistrement concerne un bien culturel .... This can be an optical, acoustic or film recording. With this wording, the template could be applied to all three media types managed in Commons: Image, Sound, Film. --Matutinho 14:01, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
