Pellenes brevis

Note: The following images show a web made by a specimen of Pellenes brevis, 2 km North of Le Caylar (Hérault). There were several others of the same shape in that area, all of them with a branchlet connected to a stone by the web. The spider sat always inside the tant on the ground. Such webs are unusual for Salticidae.
