G-BBDG (aircraft)

English: G-BBDG was one of the 6 development aircraft of the Concorde fleet. It never flew in passenger service, and after being used as a source of spares, it was was donated to Brooklands Museum. It was moved there in pieces over May/June 2004, being unveiled on 26th July 2006. It was originally positioned 51°21′19″N 0°27′52″W / 51.355268°N 0.464355°W facing east on an existing road/taxiway. Because this location was overlooked by hangars both to the south and east, and with another building to the north, on 1 July 2011 it was repositioned to a more open space 51°21′19″N 0°27′54″W / 51.355341°N 0.465031°W (approximate). This was approximately one plane length to the west, but the opportunity was also taken to turn it so it now faced SW, pointing at the road bridge over the River Wey, and now in line with the other aircraft that are parked up in the plane park to its north. In preparation for the move, the grass area of the new position was tarmaced over.
