Description
Deutsch: WikiCon 2023 - Wikipedia. Macht. Bilder. Ein Streitgespräch über (Gender) Bias und Bilder in der Wikipedia: (Gender) Bias in der Wikipedia? Studien achten da vor allem auf die Sprache. Dieses Streitgespräch hingegen blickt vor allem auf Bilder. Und Bildunterschriften. Und den Bezug zwischen Bild und Text.
Werden Frauen (und andere Gruppen) etwa tendenziös dargestellt? Gar frauenfeindlich? Bilder "illustrieren" ja nicht einfach: Ihre Bedeutungspotenziale schleppen auch eine bestimmte Sichtweise mit. Auf Diskussionsseiten der Wikipedia wurde bereits oft über die Relevanz von Bildern für einen Gender Bias gestritten. Und in dieser Tradition soll auch unser Streitgespräch nicht bei Beispielen und Theorie stehenbleiben: Wie kann, darf, soll, muss eine moderne Enzyklopädie aussehen?
