Description
English: Part of Southwestern Germany in 1789. The areas in grey are the complex of territories under the rule of the abbots of the Abbey of St. Blasien in the Black Forrest, including the County of Bonndorf (center). The areas in orange, including the Breisgau, belonged to Austria, while those in green belonged to the princes of Fürstenberg. Cropping from a map showing Southwestern Germany in 1789, from the Spruner-Menke Handatlas (1880 ed.).
