Summary
[edit]DescriptionSelf-seeded trees on Battlesbury Hill, near Warminster - geograph.org.uk - 240395.jpg |
English: Self-seeded trees on Battlesbury Hill, near Warminster. These are self-seeded trees on the hillside below the earthworks of Battlesbury hill fort, ash trees and other deciduous trees. On a Heritage Open Days visit, the Defence estates archaeologist guiding us said he wished to have them removed, as they may damage archaeological remains. Trees in the ditch have already been cut down, stumps and some logs left as wildlife habitat are visible. |
