Video from Environmental Dimensionality Controls the Interaction of Phagocytes with the Pathogenic Fungi Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans A neutrophil is seen here with a heavy load of A. fumigatus conidia, which are dragged along with the cell. The PMN seems to selectively pick up conidia despite several contacts with Candida yeasts. The video was made over 2 h with a time lapse of one frame every 30 s. |
