William Lloyd Garrison will not be able to attend the conference of the Free Religious Association. He expresses his firm belief in free speech and free thought. He disapproves of theological dogmatism and priestly infallibility
On page two of this manuscript, there is a separate note by M. W. Benjamin in New York, Oct. 6, 1873, which has been crossed out. M. W. Benjamin asks William Lloyd Garrison: "Would you be kind enough to favor me with a list of the members of the Massachusetts, afterwards New England Anti-Slavery Society."
