Summary

[edit]
Description
English:  :Poverty headcount rate vs. poverty gap
The extreme poverty rate is defined as the share of people living below the International Poverty Line ($1.90 a day in 2011 PPP). The extreme poverty gap is the mean shortfall in income or consumption from the same poverty line, counting the non-poor as having zero shortfall, expressed as a percentage of the poverty line. Consumption or income measures are adjusted for inflation over time and for price differences between countries (PPP adjustment)
