Description |
Svenska: Skaft ej ursprungligt, etsad dekor av David Kohl, Stockholm 1661. Klinga av stål, förgylld med bladgul (förgyllningen delvis bortnött). Symmetriskt formad med två uppåtböjda konturerade vingar vid basen, utmed mitten på båda sidor en rak ås. Spetsen tvärt avsmalnande. Klingans båda sidor med etsad ornering jämte text. På ena sidan Justitia med höjt svärd och vågskål, på vardera sidan av benen årtalet 1661 (delat 16 61). På andra sidan tätt formerade textrader, upptill i skrivstil: " Justitia florescat " (må rättvisan blomstra). Här nedanför sju rader otydlig text med versaler, vari bland annat " CAROLUS " kan urskiljas, Palindrom: (CAROLUS) SULOLUS // ULOROLU // LORAROL // ORACARO // LORALOL // ULOROLU // SULOLUS // REX SVECOR". Längst ned i skrivstil: " Temperantia Vi(g)escat " (må måttlighet vara levande). Utmed kanten (eggsidan) till vänster: " Fortidudine augescat" (han växer genom tapperhet), till höger: " Prudentia crescat " (han växer genom vetandet). På samma sida längst ned på en liten utåtböjd flik David Kohls monogram (DK i ligatur). På båda sidor av de uppåtböjda vingarna ett fint tecknat mönster av blad- och blomrankor. Bardisanklingan avslutas nedtill med en droppliknande hals övergående i en 12 mm lång något avsmalnande skruv med 6 gängor (för fastsättande i skaftet). Skaft av trä (valnöt?) med obehandlad ljusbrun yta och runt tvärsnitt. Upptill snidat till en imiterad nedhängande tofs ("kvast"), 44 mm lång, varovanför en rutig knopp under profilerad hals. Nedre änden med snidad avsmalnande doppsko markerad med två utstående kragar. Övre änden med hål för inskruvandet av bardisanklingan. |
