New York, United States of America. Female Aviator Amelia Earhart stands up in an open car. The car is part of procession travelling down a crowd lined street in New York. High angle shot of massive ticker-tape parade for Earhart. Shot of Miss Earhart in the car. She is waving at the crowds. Good shots of the ticker tape falling onto the crowd. More high angle shots of the parade. Intertitle reads: "Mayor Walker offers his congratulations." Amelia Earhart (carrying a large bunch of flowers) and Mayor Walker walk down steps of City Hall. They stand in front of microphones. Mayor James 'Gentleman Jimmy' Walker makes a nice little speech about Earhart opening up aviation to women. Closer shot of the two. Intertitle reads: ".. and President Hoover presents her with the U.S. National Geographic Medal." President Herbert C. Hoover and Amelia Earhart.
