Description
Svenska: Familjen står på flodstranden framför det som förmodligen är deras hus. Arentsz. var under hela sin karriär verksam i Amsterdam och reste inte heller långt därifrån. Floden kan därför mycket väl vara lj och platsen en by i närheten av Amsterdam. Ett typiskt arbete av denne tidige Amsterdammästare genom den topografiska skildringen och den satta figurstilen. - * - The family stands on the bank of a river in front of what presumably is their house. As Arentsz. spent his whole career in Amsterdam and did nor travel far afield, the river may well by the lj and the location a village on the river close to Amsterdam. The topographical depiction and squatness of the figures are typical of this early Amsterdam master.
