Oliver Johnson forwards to William Lloyd Garrison the cartes de visite he had neglected to include in a previous letter. Johnson regrets Garrison's having returned Parker Pillsbury's letter to him, and anticipates being "charged with denying the agents their right of free speech in the Standard." Johnson requests that Garrison return to him the private letter written by Pillsbury that was relayed to Garrison by Theodore Tilton so that he might consult it as he composes his reply to Pillsbury's most recent "unfriendly and irate" letter
