This manuscript consists of a printed circular letter by William Lloyd Garrison. On the blank page of the circular, Garrison handwrote a letter to Samuel Joseph May on Dec. 4, 1832. Garrison stresses the importance of the annual meeting (of the New England Anti-Slavery Society). The abolitionist cause prospers. Garrison is impressed by the force of the British anti-slavery pamphlets
The circular letter was written by William Lloyd Garrison on Nov. 30, 1832, and is addressed to the Rev. Samuel J. May. As the corresponding secretary, Garrison announces the date of the first annual meeting of the New England Anti-Slavery Society. There are handwritten additions and a note consisting of a resolution
