Svenska: Benet utgör måttstocken. Sign. “ E R L”. Skalor: på ena sidan
“Zoll” 1-10 (1 avkortad nedtill) , 236 mm ( 1 tum = ca 23,5 mm), på andra sidan “Skinn” 1-250 (233 mm), avtagande avstånd mellan markeringarna. Rundt bennet skjutbar hylsa med hjärtformad öppning på Zoll-sidan. Bennet stöder på tvärställd, lätt välvd fot vars ena halva går att skruva loss. Upptill på benet fastsatt gradskiva omfattande 100 grader. Smal ränns utefter cirelsegments ytterkant. I cirkelns “mitt” (?) fästat en pendel vilken är ca 1 cm kortare än cirkelns radie. Fodral av obehandlat fruktträ, ev. Körsbär. Fodralet följer instrumentets form då ena fothalvan är avskruvad. Locket fästat med två mässingstrådar. Stänges med två mässingshakar runt två spikhuvuden
