Kilkeasy holy well
Summary

English: Kilkeasy holy well is probably the most unusual in Co. Kilkenny: It was formed in the bark of a tree, when a branch fell off, probably decades, if not longer ago. Local farmer Damien B. estimates the tree to be 400 years old. Water trickles down into the opening which used to be large enough that a hand could be inserted. Damian says that it reputedly cures warts and that people used to travel from far to be healed. |
