Maria Weston Chapman tells at length about the prospects of a children's book she has translated from the French. The profits from the sale of the book are to go to the anti-slavery cause. The original work seems to have been written by a Madame Somestre [spelling doubtful]
Includes envelope to Miss D. Weston. On the flap of the envelope, there is an additional note by Maria W. Chapman: "Read the book--send to Pa Weston. Perhaps I have made some mistake in it. Perhaps the author is no sailor."
