Description

New Orleans: Air view looking north/ northeast across the Industrial Canal at the old Florida Avenue Bridge, 1997.

Visible are pumping stations on either side of the Canal & Florida Avenue. Southern Scrap yard at upper right below the junction of the MRGO Canal.

Riverwards of Florida Avenue at lower right is a section of the Lower 9th Ward that was largely destroyed in the 2005 Hurricane Katrina levee failure disaster.
