Library's copy 2 is annotated in brown ink with prices, including subtotals for each page and tallies at end; later notes in pencil. Lacks the half-title leaf known in other copies. Copy 2 is bound with: Catalogue of the genuine, capital, and valuable collection of pictures, by the most esteemed masters of the Italian, French, Flemish, and Dutch schools ... / by Mr. Christie. Library's copy 3 is annotated in brown ink with prices; on half-title: "Desenfans" in brown ink and red wax seal "S&D" (Skinner & Dyke). Copy 3 is the thirty-first item bound in a volume of 33 auction and sale catalogs with call no.: 1792 LoEd c.3 Bound-With (2676-620)
"The sale was ostensibly devoted to the paintings purchased for the recently deceased King of Poland, Stanislaus Augustus, by the London dealer Noel Joseph Desenfans. ...
