Extract of letter handwritten by unknown person. Whereabouts of original manuscript unknown
Anne Warren Weston reports instructions issued by the Board of the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society to their committee about relations with the American Anit-Slavery Society. These state in part that "unless the New Yorkers receded from their ground, the Massachusetts Society would nullify, address a communication to the Massachusetts people, cut loose from New York and publicly set up for themselves." Tells also the contents of the letter from Ellis to James G. Birney
