Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Torquatella typica, Lank. ( = Strombidium according to Bütschli); p, oral tube seen through peristomial wreath of apparently coalescent membranellae.
This is likely Strobilidium typicum for the following reason:
  • In general, genus Torquatella Lankester, 1874 is accepted as Strombidium Claparède & Lachmann, 1859
  • However, species Torquatella typica Lankester, 1874 is acceptes differently as Strobilidium typicum (Lankester, 1874) Fauré-Fremiet, 1924

References: World of Marine Species (WoRMS):

However, current status of Torquatella typica at WoRMS is nomen dubium.
Anyway, this result is confirmed by NIES Strobilidium Schewiakoff, 1892, see line 40.
Note: Not to be confused with Torquatella Held, 1838, see WoRMS: Torquatella Held, 1838
