Summary
[edit]DescriptionDrainage Sump by the River Dee - geograph.org.uk - 410346.jpg |
English: Drainage Sump by the River Dee Viewed from the cycleway along the bank of the River Dee, between Shotton to the left and Queensferry to the right, this drainage sump is part of the flood management system that keeps the reclaimed marshland dry. The sluice gates stop the high tides flooding the land behind the river bank. The road provides access to the John Summers building, near Hawarden Bridge, to the left, and Sealand Bank Farm is seen across the field to the left, with Garden City housing to the right. |
