detalj svärdsfäste - LRK 6362

Description

Svenska: Korsfäste av polerat stål med genomgående släta ytor, som visar obetydliga spår av förgyllning. På parerplåtarnas insidor är förgyllningen endast delvis bortnött. Knapp nötformigt utdragen. Parerstängerna platta, bågformigt nedåtböjda och med inåtböjda, rundade ytterändar. På vardera ut- och insidan vid krysset en snett uppåtriktad, stor, skålformig parerplåt, d: 115 mm. Förgyllningen på dessas insidor påslagen. På utsidan utmed parerplåtarnas kant två punsade ränder.
Kavel spiralräfflad, lindad med omväxlande tvinnad och slät silvertråd, över lindningen i spiralräfflorna dubbla, tvinnade silvertrådar (söndriga).

Klinga rak, tvåeggad, flackslipad. Baspartiet med etsad och förgylld ornering i form av ett rektangulärt fält, omgivet av ramverk. I fältet på ena sidan upptill initialer i antikva-versaler: "R.M", härnedanför ett bladornament. På andra sidan en konturerad vapensköld, vari tre femuddiga stjärnor, ställda två över en. Utanför skölden på ena sidan R, på den andra M.

Enl. inv. 1654 "1 slagswärdh som H. K. Majtt sielf fördhe med long handkafla, både plåtarne innan förgylte, klingan inwedh festet förgyllt och silftrådshandkafla". 1832-1850 förvarat i Riddarholmskyrkan.
